First claim

What is claimed is:

1 . An optical resolution method, comprising:
a first step of mixing optical isomers of an amino acid with a compound represented by chemical formula (1):

or chemical formula (2):

to obtain derivatives of the optical isomers.

2 . The optical resolution method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first step is conducted at a room temperature for one minute.

3 . The optical resolution method as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising:
a second step of separating the derivatives of the optical isomers by column chromatography.
