Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A perimeter-monitoring device has a human presence determining part configured to determine presence or absence of a human in each of a plurality of monitoring spaces located around the shovel and an alarm controlling part configured to control a plurality of alarm output parts that are located in a cab of the shovel and emit an alarm to an operator. The alarm controlling part causes a right alarm output part to emit an alarm when it is determined that a human exists in a right monitoring space, causes a left alarm output part to emit an alarm when it is determined that a human exists in a left monitoring space, and causes a back alarm output part to emit an alarm when it is determined that a human exists in a back monitoring space.

What is claimed is: 1 . A perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine, comprising: a human presence determining part configured to determine presence or absence of a human in each of a plurality of monitoring spaces located around the working machine; and an alarm part configured to be located in a cab of the working machine and emit an alarm to an operator, wherein, when the human presence determining part has determined that a human exists in any one of the plurality of monitoring spaces, the alarm part emits an alarm from a side of the cab that corresponds to the monitoring space where it has been determined that a human exists. 2 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the human presence determining part determines presence or absence of a human based on an output of a human detection sensor that detects presence or absence of a human without specifying a location of a human in the monitoring spaces. 3 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the alarm part controls a plurality of alarm output parts, wherein the plurality of monitoring spaces include a first monitoring space and a second monitoring space, that constitute two out of the plurality of monitoring spaces, wherein the plurality of alarm output parts include a first alarm output part associated with the first monitoring space and a second alarm output part associated with the second monitoring space, that constitute two out of the plurality of alarm output parts, and wherein the alarm part causes the first alarm output part to emit an alarm when it has been determined that a human exists in the first monitoring space, and causes the second alarm output part to emit an alarm when it has been determined that a human exists in the second monitoring space. 4 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the plurality of monitoring spaces include a back monitoring space at the back of the working machine and a lateral monitoring space at the side of the working machine, wherein the plurality of alarm output parts include a back alarm output part located in the back of the cab and a lateral alarm output part located in the side of the cab, wherein the back alarm output part is associated with the back monitoring space, and wherein the lateral alarm output part is associated with the lateral monitoring space. 5 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the alarm output part emits an alarm with at least one of sound and light. 6 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the human presence determining part determines presence or absence of a human in each of the plurality of monitoring space based on outputs of a plurality of dynamic body detection sensors or image sensors attached to the working machine. 7 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 1 , comprises an image creating part configured to create an image displayed on a display part by using at least one of a plurality of images captured by a plurality of cameras, wherein the image creating part creates the image displayed on the display part by using an image corresponding to an monitoring space, where it has been determined that a human exists, of the plurality of monitoring spaces. 8 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the image creating part displays a piece of information for specifying an image used for creating the image displayed on the display part. 9 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the alarm part controls a plurality of alarm output parts, wherein the plurality of monitoring spaces include a first monitoring space and a second monitoring space, that constitute two out of the plurality of monitoring spaces, wherein the plurality of alarm output parts include a first alarm output part associated with the first monitoring space and a second alarm output part associated with the second monitoring space, that constitute two out of the plurality of alarm output parts, and wherein the alarm part causes the first alarm output part to emit an alarm when it has been determined that a human exists in the first monitoring space, and causes the second alarm output part to emit an alarm when it has been determined that a human exists in the second monitoring space. 10 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the plurality of monitoring spaces include a back monitoring space at the back of the working machine and a lateral monitoring space at the side of the working machine, wherein the plurality of alarm output parts include a back alarm output part located in the back of the cab and a lateral alarm output part located in the side of the cab, wherein the back alarm output part is associated with the back monitoring space, and wherein the lateral alarm output part is associated with the lateral monitoring space. 11 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the alarm output part emits an alarm with at least one of sound and light. 12 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the alarm output part emits an alarm with at least one of sound and light. 13 . The perimeter-monitoring device for a working machine as claimed in claim 10 , wherein the alarm output part emits an alarm with at least one of sound and light.
