In the case where a table region is erroneously recognized, the edition of a character is facilitated. An information processing apparatus selects one selectable region from an image. According to the change of the position of the region selected by a selecting unit, a region that is included in the region before the position change and that is not included in the region after the position change is set to a new selectable region.

What is claimed is: 1 . An information processing apparatus comprising: a selecting unit configured to select one selectable region from an image; a changing unit configured to change position of the region selected by the selecting unit; and a setting unit configured to set, according to the change of the position by the changing unit, a region that is included in the region before the change of the position and that is not included in the region after the change of the position to a new selectable region. 2 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a character string is included in the region before the change of the position, and the information processing apparatus further comprises an allocating unit configured to divide the character string according to the change of the position by the changing unit and to allocate the divided character strings to the region after the change of the position and the new selectable region. 3 . An information processing apparatus comprising: a selecting unit configured to select two regions; a generating unit configured to couple the two regions selected by the selecting unit to generate a new region including the two regions; a coupling unit configured to couple character strings included in the two regions to generate a new character string; and an allocating unit configured to allocate the new character string generated by the coupling unit to the new region generated by the generating unit. 4 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the allocating unit allocates the character string included in the region after the change of the position to the region after the change of the position and allocates the character string included in the new selectable region to the new selectable region. 5 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the selectable region is a circumscribed rectangle of a white pixel block within a cell. 6 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising: a receiving unit configured to receive edition of a character string included in the region selected by the selecting unit; and a controlling unit configured to delete, in a case where the edition of the character string is received, within the selected region, a region narrower than the selected region and to add a character string after the edition to the selected region. 7 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the controlling unit deletes a rectangle inscribed to four straight lines inscribed to the selected region. 8 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the controlling unit deletes a region surrounded by straight lines inscribed to the selected region. 9 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the controlling unit performs the deletion by replacing a color of the narrower region with white. 10 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising: a displaying unit configured to display, as the selectable region, a region that is recognized as a cell as a result of analysis of an image obtained by scanning. 11 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the display unit displays a screen obtained by adding a handle that enlarges or reduces the selectable region to the region selected by the selecting unit. 12 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the region selected by the selecting unit is a circumscribed rectangle of a white pixel block within a cell. 13 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 3 , further comprising: a deleting unit configured to delete, according to the generation of the new region, interiors of the two regions by filling the interiors of the two regions with a predetermined pixel. 14 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein the deleting unit deletes the interiors of the two regions before the coupling by the generating unit. 15 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein the deleting unit deletes the interior of the new region after the coupling by the generating unit. 16 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 13 , further comprising: a receiving unit configured to receive an instruction to delete the interiors of the two regions before the coupling by the generating unit or an instruction to delete the interior of the new region after the coupling by the generating unit, wherein the deleting unit performs the deletion according to the instruction received by the receiving unit. 17 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing an application program for controlling a computer to function as: a selecting unit configured to select one selectable region from an image; a changing unit configured to change position of the region selected by the selecting unit; and a setting unit configured to set, according to the change of the position by the changing unit, a region that is included in the region before the change of the position and that is not included in the region after the change of the position to a new selectable region. 18 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing an application program for controlling a computer to function as: a selecting unit configured to select two regions; a generating unit configured to couple the two regions selected by the selecting unit to generate a new region including the two regions; a coupling unit configured to couple character strings included in the two regions to generate a new character string; and an allocating unit configured to allocate the new character string generated by the coupling unit to the new region generated by the generating unit.
