Official abstract text for this publication.
A management support method includes causing a first reference server to run a first application that is installed in each of a plurality of managed servers, causing a second reference to run a second application that is in an exclusive relation with the first application when the second application is present in any one of the plurality of managed servers, presenting a judgement result whether the second reference server is to be operated continuously by comparing an operating state of the first application on the first reference server and an operating state of the second application on the second reference server, and selecting whether the first application or the second application is to be operated in the first reference server when the judgement result is that the second reference server is not to be operated continuously.

What is claimed is: 1 . A management support method comprising: causing a first reference server to run a first application that is installed in each of a plurality of managed servers; causing a second reference to run a second application that is in an exclusive relation with the first application when the second application is present in any one of the plurality of managed servers; presenting a judgement result whether the second reference server is to be operated continuously by comparing an operating state of the first application on the first reference server and an operating state of the second application on the second reference server; selecting whether the first application or the second application is to be operated in the first reference server when the judgement result is that the second reference server is not to be operated continuously; and storing information on a difference in operation between an selected application which is selected in the selecting and an non-selected applications which are not selected in the selecting in a storage. 2 . The management support method according to claim 1 , wherein the information on the difference in operation is an operating state of a difference execution file which is an execution file that is not included in execution files executed in association with execution of the selected application among execution files executed in association with execution of the non-selected applications. 3 . The management support method according to claim 1 , wherein the presenting includes determining whether the second reference server is to be operated continuously based on a proportion of an execution file that is not included in execution files executed in association with execution of the first application among execution files executed in association with execution of the second application. 4 . The management support method according to claim 2 , wherein the selecting includes: comparing a first execution file number which is the number of difference execution files when the first application is selected with a second execution file number which is the number of difference execution files when the second application is selected, and selecting an application corresponding to a lower one of the first execution file number and the second execution file number as an application to be operated in the first reference server. 5 . The management support method according to claim 2 , further comprising: causing the selected application not to be uninstalled from the first reference server when all execution files of a third application which is installed in the greatest number of managed servers among the non-selected applications are included in execution files of the selected application, and when an execution file that is not included in the third application among the execution files of the selected application is included in execution files of the non-selected applications other than the third application. 6 . The management support method according to claim 1 , further comprising: redetermining that the operation of the second reference server is to be stopped when the operating state of the second application satisfies predetermined criteria after it is determined that the second reference server is to be operated continuously. 7 . The management support method according to claim 6 , wherein the redetermining includes determining that the predetermined criteria are satisfied when a change per unit time in memory usage of the operation of the second application is lower than a predetermined threshold. 8 . The management support method according to claim 2 , further comprising: comparing the operating state of the selected application in the first reference server with the operating state of the selected application in the plurality of managed servers to monitor the selected application in the plurality of managed servers; and comparing the operating state of the difference execution file and the operating state of the selected application in the first reference server with the operating states of the non-selected applications in the plurality of managed servers to monitor the non-selected applications in the plurality of managed servers. 9 . A management support device comprising: a processor; a memory storing therein a management support program that causes a computer to execute a process including, causing a first reference server to run a first application that is installed in each of a plurality of managed servers, causing a second reference server to run a second application that is in an exclusive relation with the first application when the second application is present in any one of the plurality of managed servers, presenting a judgement result whether the second reference server is to be operated continuously by comparing an operating state of the first application on the first reference server and an operating state of the second application on the second reference server, selecting whether the first application or the second application is to be operated in the first reference server when the judgement result is that the second reference server is not to be operated continuously, and storing information on a difference in operation between a selected application which is selected in the selecting and the non-selected applications which are not selected in the selecting in a storage. 10 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing therein a management support program that causes a computer to execute a process comprising: causing a first reference server to run a first application that is installed in each of a plurality of managed servers; causing a second reference to run a second application that is in an exclusive relation with the first application when the second application is present in any one of the plurality of managed servers; presenting a judgement result whether the second reference server is to be operated continuously by comparing an operating state of the first application on the first reference server and an operating state of the second application on the second reference server; selecting whether the first application or the second application is to be operated in the first reference server when the judgement result that the second reference server is not to be operated continuously; and storing information on a difference in operation between the selected application which is selected in the selecting and a non-selected applications which are not selected in the selecting in a storage.
