Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A system and a method allow for the provision of an incentive between different applications. A server stores information including, in association, a user identifier, a first identifier, and a second identifier received from a client terminal, and when receiving an incentive request, causes an application server to provide an incentive to the user pertaining to the first identifier corresponding to the second identifier based on the information.

First claim

1 . A method comprising: receiving, from a client device, a user identifier and a first identifier to when a first application is launched by the client device; receiving, from the client device, the user identifier and a second identifier when a second application is launched by the client device; and receiving, from the client device, an incentive request that includes the second identifier when a predetermined operation pertaining to the second application is performed; storing information associating the user identifier, the first identifier, and the second identifier received from the client terminal; and causing an application server to provide an incentive to a user corresponding to the first identifier, which is associated with the second identifier, based on the information upon receiving the incentive request. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the user identifier uniquely identifies the client terminal, the first identifier uniquely identifies a user in the first application, and the second identifier uniquely identifies a user in the second application. 3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: transmitting, to the application server, a request generated by converting the second identifier included in the incentive request to the first identifier upon receiving the incentive request. 4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the application server provides the incentive to the user pertaining to the first identifier based on the request. 5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising: receiving, from the client device, notification of an advertisement click, the notification including the first identifier, wherein the second application is installed on the client terminal when an advertisement displayed in the first application is clicked; storing an indication of existence of the notification for each user; converting the second identifier included in the incentive request to the first identifier upon receiving the incentive request; and transmitting the request to the application server when a notification pertaining to the first identifier exists. 6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising: transmitting the request to the application server upon receiving the incentive request within a predetermined time period from the notification. 7 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising: receiving, from the client device, friend graph information pertaining to the first application; storing the friend graph information; receiving, from the client terminal, an installation notification when the second application is installed; and transmitting the advertisement to a client terminal of a friend user based on the friend graph information upon receiving the installation notification. 8 . The method according to claim 7 , further comprising: receiving, from the client terminal, consent information indicating whether consent is provided for transmission of the advertisement; and transmitting the advertisement to the client terminal of the friend user based on the consent information. 9 . The method according to claim 7 , further comprising: receiving, from the client terminal of the friend user, a second installation notification when the second application is installed on the client terminal of the friend user based on the advertisement; and providing an incentive to a user that transmitted the installation notification upon receiving the second installation notification. 10 . A system comprising: a communication interface configured to receive a user identifier and a first identifier when a first application is launched; receive the user identifier and a second identifier when a second application is launched; and receive an incentive request that includes the second identifier when a predetermined operation pertaining to the second application is performed; a memory configured to store, in association, the user identifier, the first identifier, and the second identifier; and circuitry configured to control notifying an application server to provide an incentive to a user corresponding to the first identifier, which is associated with the second identifier, based on the information upon receiving the incentive request. 11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the user identifier uniquely identifies a client terminal, the first identifier uniquely identifies a user in the first application, and the second identifier uniquely identifies a user in the second application. 12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communication interface is configured to: transmit, to the application server, a request generated by converting the second identifier included in the incentive request to the first identifier upon receiving the incentive request. 13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communication interface is configured to receive notification of an advertisement click, the notification including the first identifier; the memory is configured to store an indication of existence of the notification for each user; the circuitry is configured to convert the second identifier included in the incentive request to the first identifier upon receiving the incentive request; and the communication interface is configured to transmit the request to the application server when a notification pertaining to the first identifier exists. 14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the communication interface is configured to: transmit the request to the application server upon receiving the incentive request within a predetermined time period from the notification. 15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the communication interface is configured to: receive, from a client device, friend graph information pertaining to the first application; receive, from the client device, an installation notification when the second application is installed at a client device; and transmit an advertisement to a client terminal of a friend user based on the friend graph information upon receiving the installation notification. 16 . The method according to claim 15 , wherein the communication interface is configured to: receive, from the client terminal, consent information indicating whether consent is provided for transmission of the advertisement; and transmit the advertisement to the client terminal of the friend user based on the consent information. 17 . The method according to claim 15 , wherein the communication interface is configured to: receive, from the client terminal of the friend user, a second installation notification when the second application is installed on the client terminal of the friend user based on the advertisement; and transmit an incentive to a user that transmitted the installation notification upon receiving the second installation notification. 18 . A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium including computer program instructions, which when executed by a system, cause the system to: receive a user identifier and a first identifier when a first application is launched; receive the user identifier and a second identifier when a second application is launched; receive an incentive request that includes the second identifier when a predetermined operation pertaining to the second application is performed; store, in association, the user identifier, the first identifier, and the second identifier; and control notifying an application server to provide an incentive to a user corresponding to the first identifier, which is associated with the second identifier
