Official abstract text for this publication.
Provided is a communication method of a reception apparatus and a transmission apparatus that may decrease consumption of power by changing an operation state of a corresponding reception apparatus from an awake state to a sleep state when a stream to be transmitted is absent during all or a portion of a transmission opportunity (TXOP).

What is claimed is: 1 . A communication method of an access point, comprising: receiving, from a terminal, an association request frame comprising information of whether the terminal has a power saving mode for a transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration, wherein the power saving mode controls an operate state of the terminal to enter a doze state during the TXOP duration; transmitting, to the terminal, information of whether the access point supports the power saving mode in response to the association request frame; and transmitting, to the terminal, a data frame comprising a very high throughput signal (VHT-SIG) field and a medium access control (MAC) header. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the VHT-SIG field includes a group identifier (ID). 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the VHT-SIG field includes information of a number of streams intended for the terminal. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the MAC header includes information of additional data to be transmitted to the terminal. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data frame comprises information indicating whether the terminal enters the doze state during the TXOP duration. 6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data frame comprises information that allows the terminal to enter the doze state during the TXOP duration in response to a number of streams intended for the terminal being indicated as zero. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data frame comprises information that allows the terminal to enter the doze state during the TXOP duration in response to additional data to be transmitted to the terminal being indicated as absent. 8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: obtaining the TXOP with respect to a channel; maintaining a stream corresponding to the terminal having an active mode as a power management mode; and transmitting information used to determine the operation state of the terminal. 9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving a power management frame set to the power saving mode, from the terminal in an active mode; and transmitting, to the terminal, an acknowledgement (ACK) with respect to the power management frame. 10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: suspending a transmission of a stream corresponding to the terminal in response to the terminal satisfying predetermined criteria set for entering or remaining in the doze state. 11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein: the predetermined criteria comprise a first criterion, a second criterion, and a third criterion, the first criterion is satisfied in response to the terminal being excluded from a group of a group identifier (ID), the second criterion is satisfied in response to the terminal being included in the group of the group ID, and a data stream to be transmitted to the terminal during the TXOP duration being absent, and the third criterion is satisfied in response to receiving an indicator indicating that an additional stream to be transmitted to the terminal during the TXOP duration is absent. 12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the data frame further comprises an enabling bit enabling the terminal to selectively determine whether to change the operation state of the terminal.
