Abstract

An information acquirer acquires identification information to identify an application to be activated in a portable game machine from a stationary game machine. A determiner determines whether or not the portable game machine has the application identified by the identification information. If the portable game machine has the application, an application activator activates the application. On the other hand, if the portable game machine does not have the application, a download processing section acquires the application from the stationary game machine.

First claim

1 . An information processing device comprising:
an information acquirer that acquires identification information to identify an application to be activated in the information processing device from another information processing device; a determiner that determines whether or not the information processing device has the application identified by the identification information; an application activator that activates the application without downloading the application from the another information processing device if the information processing device has the application; and a download processing section that transmits a download request to the another information processing device and acquires the application from the another information processing device if the information processing device does not have the application.

The information processing device according to claim 1 , wherein the information acquirer acquires also identification information to identify an application that is being activated in the another information processing device in order to determine whether affiliation is possible between the application that is being activated in the another information processing device and the application to be activated in the information processing device.

3 . The information processing device according to claim 1 , wherein the information processing device has a platform different from a platform of the another information processing device.

4 . The information processing device according to claim 1 , further comprising an install processing section that performs automatic install of the application acquired by the download processing section.

5 . The information processing device according to claim 4 , wherein the application activator activates the application installed by the install processing section.

6 . An information processing system that is so configured as to include a first information processing device and a second information processing device having a platform different from a platform of the first information processing device,
the first information processing device including a first install processing section that installs a first application to be executed in the first information processing device, and a storage device that holds a second application to be executed in the second information processing device, and the second information processing device including an information acquirer that acquires identification information to identify the second application to be activated in the second information processing device from the first information processing device, a determiner that determines whether or not the second information processing device has the second application identified by the identification information, a download processing section that transmits a download request to the first information processing device and acquires the second application from the first information processing device if the second information processing device does not have the second application, and a second install processing section that performs automatic install of the second application acquired by the download processing section.

7 . The information processing system according to claim 6 , wherein
the first information processing device further includes a first application executor that executes the installed first application, the second information processing device further includes a second application executor that executes the installed second application, and the first application and the second application execute processing in which the first application and the second application affiliate.

8 . A computer operating under the control of a software program to cause the computer to implement functions, comprising:
a function to acquire identification information to identify an application to be activated in the computer from another computer; a function to determine whether or not the computer has the application identified by the identification information; a function to order activation of the application without downloading the application from the another computer if the computer has the application; and a function to transmit a download request to the another computer and acquire the application from the another computer if the computer does not have the application.

9 . A computer-readable recording medium in which a program for a computer is recorded, the program for causing a computer to execute actions, comprising:
acquiring identification information to identify an application to be activated in the computer from another computer; determining whether or not the computer has the application identified by the identification information; ordering activation of the application without downloading the application from the another computer if the computer has the application; and transmitting a download request to the another computer and acquiring the application from the another computer if the computer does not have the application.

10 . The information processing device according to claim 1 , wherein a function of the information acquirer is implemented through execution of an affiliation application.
