A display device is provided. The display device includes a display panel generating an image, a phase retarder disposed on the display panel, a first polarizer disposed on the phase retarder, a liquid crystal lens disposed on the first polarizer, and a second polarizer disposed on the liquid crystal lens. The phase retarder has a first optical axis and the first polarizer has a second optical axis crossing the first optical axis. The second polarizer has a third optical axis substantially in parallel to the second optical axis.

What is claimed is: 1 . A display device comprising: a display panel configured to generate an image; a phase retarder disposed on the display panel and having a first optical axis; a first polarizer disposed on the phase retarder and having a second optical axis crossing the first optical axis; a liquid crystal lens disposed on the first polarizer; and a second polarizer disposed on the liquid crystal lens and having a third optical axis substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 2 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first optical axis and the second optical axis form an included angle of about 45 degrees. 3 . The display device of claim 2 , wherein the display panel comprises a display surface having by a first direction and a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the liquid crystal lens comprises a plurality of lens units each of which extends in a third direction crossing the first direction on the display surface. 4 . The display device of claim 3 , wherein the display panel comprises a plurality of pixel columns extending in the first direction and arranged in the second direction, and each of the pixel columns comprises a plurality of pixels arranged in the first direction. 5 . The display device of claim 4 , wherein each of the pixels comprises an organic light emitting diode. 6 . The display device of claim 3 , wherein each of the lens units comprises: a plurality of first electrodes disposed on a first substrate and extending in the third direction; a second electrode disposed on a second substrate spaced apart from the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first electrodes and the second electrode, wherein the liquid crystal layer is aligned along a first alignment axis of the first electrodes and a second alignment axis of the second electrode, and the second alignment axis is substantially parallel to the first alignment axis. 7 . The display device of claim 6 , wherein the first alignment axis is substantially parallel to the third optical axis. 8 . The display device of claim 7 , wherein the first alignment axis is substantially parallel to the third direction in which the first electrodes extend. 9 . The display device of claim 1 , wherein the phase retarder is a quarter wavelength plate. 10 . A display device comprising: a display panel configured to generate an image; a phase retarder disposed on the display panel and having a first optical axis; a liquid crystal lens disposed on the phase retarder; and a polarizer disposed on the liquid crystal lens and having a second optical axis crossing the first optical axis. 11 . The display device of claim 10 , wherein the first optical axis and the second optical axis form an included angle of about 45 degrees. 12 . The display device of claim 11 , wherein the display panel comprises a display surface having a first direction and a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the liquid crystal lens comprises a plurality of lens units each of which extends in a third direction crossing the first direction on the display surface, and the third direction is substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 13 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein the display panel comprises a plurality of pixel columns extending in the first direction and arranged in the second direction, and each of the pixel columns comprises a plurality of pixels arranged in the first direction. 14 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein each of the lens units comprises: a plurality of first electrodes disposed on a first substrate and extending in the third direction; a second electrode disposed on a second substrate spaced apart from the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first electrodes and the second electrode, wherein the liquid crystal layer is aligned along a first alignment axis of the first electrodes and a second alignment axis of the second electrode, and the second alignment axis is substantially parallel to the first alignment axis. 15 . The display device of claim 14 , wherein the first alignment axis is substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 16 . The display device of claim 10 , wherein the liquid crystal lens includes a plurality of electrodes that is substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 17 . A display device comprising: a display panel configured to generate a two-dimensional (2D) image in a 2D mode and a three-dimensional (3D) image in a 3D mode; a phase retarder disposed on the display panel and having a first optical axis; a liquid crystal lens disposed on the phase retarder, wherein the liquid crystal lens is configured to provide the 3D image to a first focal point and a second focal point different from the first focal point in the 3D mode; and a first polarizer disposed on the liquid crystal lens and having a second optical axis crossing the first optical axis. 18 . The display device of claim 17 , wherein the first optical axis and the second optical axis form an included angle of about 45 degrees. 19 . The display device of claim 17 , further comprising a second polarizer disposed between the phase retarder and the liquid crystal lens, wherein the second polarizer has a third optical axis substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 20 . The display device of claim 17 , wherein the display panel comprises a display surface having a first direction and a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the liquid crystal lens comprises a plurality of lens units each of which extends in a third direction crossing the first direction on the display surface, and the third direction is substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 21 . The display device of claim 20 , wherein each of the lens units comprises: a plurality of first electrodes disposed on a first substrate and extending in the third direction; a second electrode disposed on a second substrate disposed to be spaced apart from the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first electrodes and the second electrode, wherein the liquid crystal layer is aligned along a first alignment axis of the first electrodes and a second alignment axis of the second electrode, and wherein the second alignment axis is substantially parallel to the first alignment axis, and the first alignment axis is substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 22 . The display device of claim 17 , further comprising a distance control layer disposed between the display panel and the liquid crystal lens to control a distance between the display panel and the liquid crystal lens. 23 . The display device of claim 17 , wherein the liquid crystal lens includes a plurality of electrodes that is substantially parallel to the second optical axis. 24 . A display device comprising: a display panel configured to generate an image; a quarter wavelength plate disposed on the display panel and having a first optical axis; a first polarizer disposed on the quarter wavelength plate and having a second optical axis crossing the first optical axis; a distance control layer disposed on the first polarizer, wherein the distance control layer is configured to control a focal length between a plurality of lens units in a liquid crystal lens and a plu
