Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

According to one aspect of the present invention, a wireless power reception device includes: a power pickup circuit configured to form a magnetic coupling with a wireless power transmission device to receive wireless power from the wireless power transmission device; and a communication/control circuit configured to perform transmission control for the wireless power and at least one of data transmission and reception on the basis of communication with the wireless power transmission device, wherein the communication/control circuit can initiate a process for generating an authenticated link for charging by accepting only a connection request received within a prescribed authentication accept period.

What is claimed is: 1 . A wireless power receiver comprising: a power pickup circuit configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power transmitter based on magnetic coupling with the wireless power transmitter; and a communication/control circuit configured to control the wireless power, wherein the wireless power receiver is configured to: transmit, to the wireless power transmitter via an in-band communication, a configuration packet for the wireless power receiver, wherein the configuration packet includes first authentication information specifying whether an authentication function is supported or not; receive, from the wireless power transmitter via the in-band communication, a capability packet for the wireless power transmitter, wherein the capability packet includes second authentication information specifying whether the authentication function is supported or not; and initiate a creation process of an authenticated link based on accepting only a connect request received within a predetermined authentication accept period, wherein the predetermined authentication accept period is calculated from a time of exchanging a last packet via the in-band communication, wherein the last packet including out-band information is exchanged after transmitting the configuration packet, wherein a connection request received outside of the predetermined authentication accept period is ignored, wherein the creation process of the authenticated link is performed based on an out-band communication, wherein the wireless power receiver is an authentication initiator and the wireless power transmitter is an authentication responder, wherein, based on authentication being completed and certificate exchange being made, the authentication initiator generates a first Diffie-Hellman public key and a first signature and transmits the first Diffie-Hellman public key and the first signature to the authentication responder, the authentication initiator receives a second Diffie-Hellman public key and a second signature from the authentication responder, and the authentication initiator creates the authenticated link with the authentication responder based on the first Diffie-Hellman public key, the first signature, the second Diffie-Hellman public key and the second signature. 2 . A wireless power transmitter, comprising: a power conversion circuit configured to transmit wireless power to a wireless power receiver based on a magnetic coupling with the wireless power receiver; and a communication/control circuit configured to control the wireless power, wherein the wireless power transmitter is configured to: receive, from the wireless power receiver via an in-band communication, a configuration packet for the wireless power receiver, wherein the configuration packet includes first authentication information specifying whether an authentication function is supported or not; transmit, to the wireless power receiver via the in-band communication, a capability packet for the wireless power transmitter, wherein the capability packet includes second authentication information specifying whether the authentication function is supported or not; and initiate a creation process of an authenticated link based on accepting only a connect request received within a predetermined authentication accept period, wherein the predetermined authentication accept period is calculated from a time of exchanging a last packet via the in-band communication, wherein the last packet including out-band information is exchanged after receiving the configuration packet, wherein a connection request received outside of the predetermined authentication accept period is ignored, wherein the creation process of the authenticated link is performed based on an out-band communication, wherein the wireless power transmitter is an authentication responder and the wireless power receiver is an authentication initiator, wherein, based on authentication being completed and certificate exchange being made, the authentication responder receives a first Diffie-Hellman public key and a first signature from the authentication initiator, the authentication responder generates a second Diffie-Hellman public key and a second signature and transmits the second Diffie-Hellman public key and the second signature to the authentication initiator, and the authentication responder creates the authenticated link with the authentication initiator based on the first Diffie-Hellman public key, the first signature, the second Diffie-Hellman public key and the second signature.
