Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Provided is a technology allowing for stable supply of brain microvascular endothelium-like cells. This coating agent for inducing differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into brain microvascular endothelium-like cells contains at least one component of a Laminin-221 fragment or an N-terminal Vitronectin.

First claim

Opening claim text (preview).

The invention claimed is: 1 . A method of producing brain microvascular endothelium cells by inducing differentiation of pluripotent stem cells, comprising a step of culturing the pluripotent stem cells on a culture surface that is coated with at least a Laminin-221 fragment. 2 . The method of producing brain microvascular endothelium cells according to claim 1 , wherein the pluripotent stem cells are induced pluripotent stem cells. 3 . The method of producing brain microvascular endothelium cells according to claim 2 , wherein the induced pluripotent stem cells are human induced pluripotent stem cells. 4 . The method of producing brain microvascular endothelium cells according to claim 1 , wherein the pluripotent stem cells are cultured on said culture surface that is coated with a Laminin-221 fragment at the initiation of differentiation induction.
