Official abstract text for this publication.
Systems and methods are described for controlling media content based on user presence information. A user interaction with playing of a first media asset generated for presentation at a consumption device may be identified, and in response, historical wireless signal characteristics of a wireless network, over which wireless signals are used to generate for display the first media asset, may be determined. While a second media asset is generated for display, the second media asset at the consumption device may be modified based on user presence information determined by comparing current wireless signal characteristics of the wireless network to the historical wireless signal characteristics of the wireless network.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method comprising: receiving wireless signal characteristics from a plurality of devices in an area of a household; analyzing the wireless signal characteristics to compute a set of data comprising data relating to a presence of one or more users in the area of the household; receiving a request for the data from an autonomous mobile device; filtering the set of data based at least in part on an identity of the autonomous mobile device; and providing the filtered set of data to the autonomous mobile device to cause the autonomous mobile device to: determine a navigation path in the area of the household based at least in part on the filtered set of data; and move along the navigation path. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the navigation path in the area of the household comprises determining that the one or more users are present in the area of the household based at least in part on the wireless signal characteristics. 3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: analyzing the wireless signal characteristics to determine whether at least one user of the one or more users is present in a particular portion of the area of the household; and based at least in part on determining that the at least one user is present in the particular portion of the area of the household: causing the autonomous mobile device to move along the navigation path in the area of the household, wherein the navigation path excludes the particular portion of the area of the household where the at least one user is present. 4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising: based at least in part on determining that the at least one user is present in the particular portion of the area of the household: causing the autonomous mobile device to refrain from moving along the navigation path. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: the filtered set of data indicates that the one or more users are consuming media content in the area of the household; and the method further comprising causing the autonomous mobile device to: exclude a portion of the area of the household associated with a presence of the one or more users from the navigation path, based at least in part on the filtered set of data indicative of the one or more users consuming the media content in the area of the household. 6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: identifying a service provider associated with the autonomous mobile device; determining, based at least in part on the wireless signal characteristics, that the area of the household is empty; transmitting a notification to the service provider, wherein the notification indicates that the area of the household is empty; and causing the autonomous mobile device to move along the navigation path. 7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein transmitting the notification to the service provider comprises: receiving an API request from the service provider; determining an authorization level of the service provider; identifying a subset of the filtered set of data based at least in part on the authorization level of the service provider; and transmitting, via the API, the notification comprising the subset of the filtered set of data to the service provider. 8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein analyzing the wireless signal characteristics comprises: determining historical wireless signal characteristics of a wireless network; determining current wireless signal characteristics of the wireless network; and determining user presence information by comparing the current wireless signal characteristics of the wireless network to the historical wireless signal characteristics of the wireless network. 9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the wireless signal characteristics comprises determining a plurality of sets of wireless signal characteristics based at least in part on one or more of: channel state information (CSI), a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) or a received channel power indicator (RCPI). 10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: training a machine learning model to continuously detect human presence in the area of the household and extract human presence information using at least one of the following techniques: density-based spatial clustering, fingerprinting, regression, filter models or threshold detection. 11 . A system comprising: a memory; a control circuitry; and an input/output (I/O) circuitry configured to: receive wireless signal characteristics from a plurality of devices in an area of a household; wherein the control circuitry is configured to: analyze the wireless signal characteristics to compute a set of data comprising data relating to a presence of one or more users in the area of the household; wherein the I/O circuitry is configured to: receive a request for the data from an autonomous mobile device; filter the set of data based at least in part on an identity of the autonomous mobile device; and provide the filtered set of data to the autonomous mobile device to cause the autonomous mobile device to: determine a navigation path in the area of the household based at least in part on the filtered set of data; and move along the navigation path. 12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is configured to determine the navigation path in the area of the household by determining that the one or more users are present in the area of the household based at least in part on the wireless signal characteristics. 13 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to: analyze the wireless signal characteristics to determine whether at least one user of the one or more users is present in a particular portion of the area of the household; and wherein the I/O circuitry is further configured to: based at least in part on determining that the at least one user is present in the particular portion of the area of the household: cause the autonomous mobile device to move along the navigation path in the area of the household, wherein the navigation path excludes the particular portion of the area of the household where the at least one user is present. 14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the I/O circuitry is further configured to: based at least in part on determining that the at least one user is present in the particular portion of the area of the household: cause the autonomous mobile device to refrain from moving along the navigation path. 15 . The system of claim 11 , wherein: the filtered set of data indicates that the one or more users are consuming media content in the area of the household; and wherein the I/O circuitry is configured to cause the autonomous mobile device to: exclude a portion of the area of the household associated with a presence of the one or more users from the navigation path, based at least in part on the filtered set of data indicative of the one or more users consuming the media content in the area of the household. 16 . The systems of claim 11 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to: identify a service provider associated with the autonomous mobile device; determine, based at least in part on the wireless signal characteristics, that the area of the household is empty; wherein the I/O circuitry is further configured to: transmit a notification to the service provider, wherein the notification indicates that the area of the household is empty; and cause the autonomous mobile device to move along the navigation path
