Methods and apparatus are disclosed pertaining to paging for Unlicensed New Radio (NR-U). Methods include means to: perform paging using multiple paging occasions (POs) during a DRX Cycle, perform paging using a paging window, perform paging using a PO comprised of multiple sweeps and/or repetitions, signal DL channel access indication for paging, and perform paging using dynamic DRX. In accordance with one embodiment, an apparatus may receive a signal comprising a plurality of POs, wherein each PO comprises a plurality of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring occasions. The apparatus may monitor, based on receiving an identifier associated with the apparatus, a portion of the plurality of paging occasions. The apparatus may detect, in a PDCCH monitoring occasion of the plurality of PDCCH monitoring occasions in the monitored portion, paging downlink control information (DCI).

What is claimed is: 1 . A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising a processor configured to: receive a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission during at least one paging occasion for the WTRU, wherein the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU is determined based on an identifier associated with the WTRU, and the at least paging occasion for the WTRU is associated with a plurality of PDCCH monitoring occasions; and determine downlink control information (DCI) from the PDCCH transmission, wherein the DCI comprises a short message, the short message indicating that the WTRU can stop monitoring for subsequent PDCCH transmissions in remaining PDCCH monitoring occasions corresponding to the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU. 2 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the DCI is associated with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled with a paging radio network temporary identifier (P-RNTI). 3 . The WTRU of claim 2 , wherein the DCI comprises a short message indicator field, the short message indicator field indicating that the short message is present in the DCI. 4 . The WTRU of claim 3 , wherein the short message is indicated in the DCI via at least one bit of a short message field being set to a predefined value. 5 . The WTRU of claim 3 , wherein the short message indicator field further indicates that a paging message is present for the WTRU. 6 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the PDCCH transmission is received in a cell associated with New Radio Unlicensed (NR-U) access. 7 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein an indication of associations between respective PDCCH monitoring occasions of the paging occasion and a respective synchronization signal bursts (SSBs) is indicated via system information. 8 . The WTRU of claim 7 , wherein the system information further indicates a number of transmitted SSBs and a paging search space associated with the plurality of PDCCH monitoring occasions. 9 . A method implemented by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising: receiving a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission during at least one paging occasion for the WTRU, wherein the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU is determined based on an identifier associated with the WTRU, and the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU is associated with a plurality of PDCCH monitoring occasions; and determine downlink control information (DCI) from the PDCCH transmission, wherein the DCI comprises a short message, the short message indicating that the WTRU can stop monitoring for subsequent PDCCH transmissions in remaining PDCCH monitoring occasions corresponding to the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU. 10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the DCI is associated with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled with a paging radio network temporary identifier (P-RNTI). 11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the DCI comprises a short message indicator field, the short message indicator field indicating that the short message is present in the DCI. 12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the short message is indicated in the DCI via at least one bit of a short message field being set to a predefined value. 13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the short message indicator field further indicates that a paging message is present for the WTRU. 14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the PDCCH transmission is received in a cell associated with New Radio Unlicensed (NR-U) access. 15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein an indication of associations between respective PDCCH monitoring occasions of the paging occasion and a respective synchronization signal bursts (SSBs) is indicated via system information. 16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the system information further indicates a number of transmitted SSBs and a paging search space associated with the plurality of PDCCH monitoring occasions. 17 . A network device comprising a processor configured to: broadcast system information, the system information indicating a paging search space associated with a plurality of PDCCH monitoring occasions; and transmit a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission, the PDCCH transmission being sent during at least one paging occasion for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), wherein the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU is associated with an identifier of the WTRU, the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU is associated with the plurality of PDCCH monitoring occasions, the PDCCH transmission comprises downlink control information (DCI), and the DCI comprises a short message, the short message indicating that the WTRU can stop monitoring for subsequent PDCCH transmissions in remaining PDCCH monitoring occasions corresponding to the at least one paging occasion for the WTRU. 18 . The network device of claim 17 , wherein the DCI is associated with a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) scrambled with a paging radio network temporary identifier (P-RNTI), and the DCI comprises a short message indicator field, the short message indicator field indicating that the short message is present in the DCI. 19 . The network device of claim 18 , wherein the short message is indicated in the DCI via at least one bit of a short message field being set to a predefined value. 20 . The network device of claim 17 , wherein the PDCCH transmission is transmitted in a cell associated with New Radio Unlicensed (NR-U) access.
