A modified polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion having low viscosity at high temperature. The modified polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion contains a modified polytetrafluoroethylene and a nonionic surfactant, has a modified polytetrafluoroethylene solid concentration of 50 to 70% by mass, is substantially free from a fluorine-containing surfactant, and has a viscosity at 55° C. of 80 mPa·s or lower, and the modified polytetrafluoroethylene contains 0.050% by mass or more and 1.00% by mass or less of a polymerized unit based on a modifying monomer.

What is claimed is: 1 . A modified polytetrafluoroethylene aqueous dispersion comprising a modified polytetrafluoroethylene and a nonionic surfactant, the aqueous dispersion having a modified polytetrafluoroethylene solid concentration of 50 to 70% by mass, the aqueous dispersion being substantially free from a fluorine-containing surfactant, the aqueous dispersion having a viscosity at 55° C. of 80 mPa·s or lower, and the modified polytetrafluoroethylene containing 0.050% by mass or more and 1.00% by mass or less of a polymerized unit based on a modifying monomer. 2 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 1 , wherein the fluorine-containing surfactant amounts to 100 ppb or more and 1.0 ppm or less. 3 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 1 , wherein the aqueous dispersion has a ratio (viscosity at 55° C.)/(viscosity at 25° C.) of 4.00 or lower. 4 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 1 , wherein the nonionic surfactant is contained in an amount of 4.0% by mass or more and 12.0% by mass or less relative to the modified polytetrafluoroethylene. 5 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 1 , wherein the aqueous dispersion has a stability retention time at 60° C. of 20 minutes or longer. 6 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 1 , wherein the nonionic surfactant contains a compound represented by the following formula (i): R 3 —O-A 1 -H (i) wherein R 3 is a C8-C18 linear or branched primary or secondary alkyl group; and A1 is a polyoxyalkylene chain. 7 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 6 , wherein R 3 is an alkyl group represented by the following formula (i-1): CHR 31 R 32 — (i-1) wherein R 31 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C16 alkyl group; R 32 is a C1-C17 alkyl group; and R 31 and R 32 have a total carbon number of 7 to 17. 8 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 6 , wherein R 3 is a C8-C18 alkyl group having an average number of methyl groups of 2.0 or more. 9 . The aqueous dispersion according to claim 6 , wherein the nonionic surfactant is a mixture of compounds represented by the formula (i) with A1s having different average numbers of oxyethylene units.
