An example system includes a clamping tool including opposable surfaces configured to rest on and bear against a surface of a bone; and a registration marker of a mixed reality surgery system, the registration marker attached to the clamping tool.

What is claimed is: 1 . A system comprising: a clamping tool including opposable surfaces configured to rest on and bear against a surface of a bone, wherein the bone is a coracoid process of a scapula; a supplemental attachment mechanism configured to stabilize the clamping tool, wherein the supplemental attachment mechanism comprises a pin having a bend such that a first end of the pin is configured to be directly embedded in the bone and a second end of the pin is directly attached to the clamping tool; and a registration marker of a mixed reality surgery system, the registration marker attached to the clamping tool. 2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the clamping tool comprises two sections that are configured to articulate about an axis. 3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the clamping tool further comprises one or more components configured to lock the two sections of the clamping tool in place. 4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the one or more components configured to lock the two sections comprise a ratcheting assembly. 5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the registration marker comprises a plurality of markers on a plurality of faces. 6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the registration marker comprises a rectangular prism having the plurality of faces. 7 . The system of claim 5 , wherein each of the markers comprises a different fiducial marker. 8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the registration marker is removable from the clamping tool.
