A system can include a zipper that connects a mattress to a bed foundation. For example, the zipper can extend from a head end to a foot end of an adjustable foundation. For another example, a zipper can connect to a mattress along a seam of the mattress and/or to a foundation along a seam of a foundation. For another example, a first zipper can connect the mattress core to a second zipper and the second zipper can connect a foundation to the first zipper. For another example, first and second zippers can be substantially vertically aligned.

What is claimed is: 1 . A bed system comprising: a foundation having a plurality of adjustable panels including a head panel, a middle panel, a leg panel, and a foot panel; a mattress positioned on the foundation, wherein the mattress has a head end, a foot end, a left side, and a right side; and a zipper that connects the mattress to the foundation, wherein the zipper extends along at least one of the left side and the right side across multiple of the plurality of adjustable panels so as to cross a joint between each of the adjustable panels, wherein the zipper comprises a first zipper tape attached to and along an underside of the mattress and a second zipper tape attached to and along a top surface of the foundation, wherein the zipper extends along an entire length of the middle panel and the leg panel and less than an entire length of each of the head panel and the foot panel, wherein the first and second zipper tapes include first and second teeth, respectively, and the second teeth are configured to engage the first teeth; wherein the mattress further comprises a mattress core and a mattress cover, and the zipper extends through the mattress cover to connect the mattress core to the foundation. 2 . The bed system of claim 1 , wherein the zipper is spaced inward of a perimeter of the mattress. 3 . The bed system of claim 1 , wherein the zipper separately extends to a portion of the head panel on each of the right side and the left side of the mattress at the head end of the mattress. 4 . The bed system of claim 1 , wherein the foundation further defines a passage that extends through one of the plurality of adjustable panels of the foundation to the mattress, wherein the passage is configured to receive a fluid hose that fluidically connects the mattress to an air source. 5 . The bed system of claim 1 , wherein the first zipper tape is attached along the underside of the mattress at a first zipper location that is interior of a first perimeter of the mattress and the second zipper tape is attached along the top of the foundation at a second zipper location that is interior of a second perimeter of the foundation. 6 . The bed system of claim 4 , wherein the air source is inside or under the foundation. 7 . The bed system of claim 3 , wherein the zipper separately extends to a portion of the foot panel on each of the right side and the left side of the mattress at the foot end of the mattress. 8 . The bed system of claim 7 , wherein the zipper extends along both the head panel and the foot panel at the left side of the mattress. 9 . The bed system of claim 1 , wherein the zipper is connected to and extends along the top surface spaced inward from a perimeter of each of: a portion of the head panel, the middle panel, the leg panel, and a portion of the foot panel at the left side of the foundation. 10 . The bed system of claim 9 , wherein the zipper is connected to and extends along the top surface spaced inward from a perimeter of each of: a portion of the head panel, the middle panel, the leg panel, and a portion of the foot panel at the right side of the foundation separate from the left side of the foundation. 11 . The bed system of claim 10 , wherein a head portion of the length of the zipper at the head panel is greater than a foot portion of the length of the zipper at the foot panel.
