The invention claimed is: 1 . A tobacco plant or part thereof or tobacco plant propagation material: which has been modified to achieve a reduction in nornicotine compared with an unmodified tobacco plant or part thereof or tobacco plant propagation material, wherein the modified tobacco plant or part thereof or tobacco plant propagation material comprises a deregulated zinc cation efflux protein which results in said reduction in nornicotine, and wherein the deregulated zinc cation efflux protein comprises the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:33 or a sequence which has at least 95% sequence identity thereto. 2 . The tobacco plant or part thereof or plant propagation material according to claim 1 , wherein the plant is from the species Nicotiana tabacum or Nicotiana rustica. 3 . A harvested leaf or a cut harvested leaf of the tobacco plant according to claim 1 .
