Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

One or more embodiments relates to a system and method for storing information in a storage ring. One embodiment relates to an architecture including at least one laser adapted to target and process at least one qubit in the storage ring; and an optical pathway in optical communication with the at least one laser, enabling the laser to process the at least one qubit.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1 . An architecture for storing information in a storage ring, the architecture comprising: a. at least one laser adapted to target and process at least one qubit in the storage ring; and b. at least one window defined in a wall of the storage ring in optical communication with the at least one laser forming an optical pathway, enabling the laser to process the at least one qubit. 2 . The architecture of claim 1 wherein the optical pathway comprises at least one feed trough defined in the storage ring and housing at least one fiber optic cable in optical communication with the at least one laser. 3 . The architecture of claim 1 wherein the storage ring wherein the wall comprises vacuum chamber walls defining a vacuum chamber wherein the one optical pathway is in optical communication with the vacuum chamber. 4 . The architecture of claim 1 further comprising at least one deflector in optical communication with the at least one laser and the optical pathway. 5 . The architecture of claim 4 wherein the at least one deflector comprises at least one acoustic optical deflector.
