Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

According to one aspect, a method includes obtaining an input and identifying at least a first vehicle which is to be commanded to perform at least one diagnostics test. The method also includes providing a remote diagnostics command to the first vehicle, the remote diagnostics command configured to command the first vehicle to perform at least a first diagnostics test, wherein the first diagnostics test is performed by the first vehicle on at least a first system included on the first vehicle. The first vehicle is monitored during the first diagnostics test. Diagnostics data associated with the first diagnostics test is obtained from the first vehicle and processed to generate diagnostics for the first vehicle.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method comprising: identifying at least a first vehicle which is to be commanded to perform at least one diagnostics test; providing a remote diagnostics command to the first vehicle, the remote diagnostics command configured to cause the vehicle to generate a command to cause the first vehicle to perform at least a first diagnostics test, wherein the first diagnostics test is performed by the first vehicle on at least a first system included on the first vehicle, wherein the at least first system includes a clearing and cleaning system; monitoring the first vehicle during the first diagnostics test; obtaining diagnostics data from the first vehicle, the diagnostics data being associated with the first diagnostics test; and processing the diagnostics data to generate diagnostics. 2 . The method of claim 1 further including: obtaining an input, wherein the input includes a request to access an interface, the interface configured to enable the first vehicle and the first diagnostics test to be specified, the method further including: performing a first authentication in response to the input, the first authentication arranged identify an access level; and providing the interface, the interface being configured based on the access level, wherein the first vehicle and the first diagnostics test are associated with the access level. 3 . The method of claim 2 wherein providing the interface includes enabling the first vehicle to be selected for testing and enabling the first diagnostics test to be selected for performance. 4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the diagnostics include one selected from a group including a pass indication and a fail indication. 5 . The method of claim 1 wherein the first vehicle is an autonomous vehicle, and wherein the first vehicle is included in a fleet of vehicles, the method further including: maintaining information relating to the fleet of vehicles. 6 . Logic encoded in one or more tangible non-transitory, computer-readable media for execution and when executed operable to: identify at least a first vehicle which is to be commanded to perform at least one diagnostics test; provide a remote diagnostics command to the first vehicle, the remote diagnostics command configured to cause the vehicle to generate a command to cause the first vehicle to perform at least a first diagnostics test, wherein the first diagnostics test is performed by the first vehicle on at least a first system included on the first vehicle, wherein the at least first system includes a clearing and cleaning system; monitor the first vehicle during the first diagnostics test; obtain diagnostics data from the first vehicle, the diagnostics data being associated with the first diagnostics test; and process the diagnostics data to generate diagnostics. 7 . The logic of claim 6 wherein the logic is further operable to: obtain an input, wherein the input includes a request to access an interface, the interface configured to enable the first vehicle and the first diagnostics test to be specified, the logic further being operable to perform a first authentication in response to the input, the first authentication arranged identify an access level, and provide the interface, the interface being configured based on the access level, wherein the first vehicle and the first diagnostics test are associated with the access level. 8 . The logic of claim 7 wherein the logic operable to provide the interface is further operable to enable the first vehicle to be selected for testing and to enable the first diagnostics test to be selected for performance. 9 . The logic of claim 6 wherein the diagnostics include one selected from a group including a pass indication and a fail indication. 10 . The logic of claim 6 wherein the first vehicle is an autonomous vehicle, and wherein the first vehicle is included in a fleet of vehicles, the logic further operable to: maintain information relating to the fleet of vehicles. 11 . The method of claim 1 wherein the vehicle includes a first sensor, and wherein the first diagnostics test performed by the first vehicle on the first system includes the first vehicle causing the clearing and cleaning system to clear and to clean the first sensor. 12 . The logic of claim 6 wherein the vehicle includes a first sensor, and wherein the first diagnostics test performed by the first vehicle on the first system includes the first vehicle causing the clearing and cleaning system to clear and to clean the first sensor. 13 . The logic of claim 12 wherein the logic operable to provide the remote diagnostics command to the first vehicle is operable to cause the first vehicle to generate at least one command to prepare the first sensor for the first diagnostics test and to activate the clearing and cleaning system. 14 . A method comprising: identifying at least a first vehicle which is to be commanded to perform at least one diagnostics test, the first vehicle including at least a first system and at least a first sensor, wherein the at least first system is a clearing and cleaning system configured to clear and clean the at least first sensor; causing the first vehicle to perform at least a first diagnostics test when the first vehicle is in a diagnostics mode, wherein the first diagnostics test is performed by the first vehicle on the at least first system, wherein causing the first vehicle to perform the first diagnostics test includes providing a command to the vehicle, wherein the command causes the vehicle to generate a command to perform the first diagnostics test on the at least first system; monitoring the first vehicle while the first vehicle performs the first diagnostics test on the at least first system, wherein the first vehicle generates diagnostics data while the first vehicle performs the first diagnostics test on the at least first system; obtaining diagnostics data from the first vehicle, the diagnostics data being associated with the first diagnostics test; and processing the diagnostics data to generate diagnostics. 15 . The method of claim 14 further including: determining whether the first vehicle is in a diagnostics mode; and causing the vehicle to initiate the diagnostics mode when the vehicle is not in the diagnostics mode. 16 . The method of claim 14 wherein the diagnostics data is obtained from the at least first sensor, and wherein the diagnostics are associated with the at least first sensor. 17 . The method of claim 14 further including: presenting the diagnostics on an interface. 18 . The method of claim 11 wherein providing the remote diagnostics command to the first vehicle causes the first vehicle to generate at least one command to prepare the first sensor for the first diagnostics test and to activate the clearing and cleaning system.
