Official abstract text for this publication.
The present invention includes a spray drying disposable device for use in a spray drying system. The disposable has a spray drying head and a plasma drying chamber. The head has a spray dry nozzle assembly in fluid communication with the plasma source and the pressurized aerosol gas source. The pressurized gas flows in a vortex pattern that atomizes plasma droplets in the chamber. The head also includes a plenum has uniform air pressure of the drying gas. A baffle plate forms the floor of the plenum having drying gas jets that supply drying gas to the chamber. The atomized plasma droplets evaporate in the presence of the drying gas emitted from the jets to obtain dried plasma particles and humid air. A capture filter captures the dried plasma particles and allows the humid air to pass. The humid air passes through the gas outlet and the exhaust port.

What is claimed is: 1 . A drying chamber for use in spray drying a liquid in a spray drying system that uses a spray drying disposable device, the drying chamber comprises: A) a section, disposed between a first end and a second end, configured to become a container having dried particles after the liquid is spray dried; wherein, when in use, atomized droplets evaporate in the drying chamber when coming into contact with a drying gas, to thereby obtain dried particles and humid air; and wherein, when in use, the dried particles are captured within the drying chamber and the humid air is allowed to pass. 2 . The drying chamber of claim 1 , wherein the spray drying disposable device comprises a spray drying head and the drying chamber; wherein the spray drying head provides the atomized droplets and the drying gas to the drying chamber. 3 . The drying chamber of claim 1 , further comprising a capture filter, residing in the drying chamber, wherein the capture filter captures the dried particles and allows the humid air to pass. 4 . The drying chamber of claim 1 , the spray drying disposable device further comprises a gas outlet, wherein said gas outlet is attached to an exhaust port of the spray drying system during operation, wherein the humid air flows through the gas outlet. 5 . The drying chamber of claim 1 , wherein the section further comprises at least one injection port configured for injection into the container having the dried particles. 6 . The drying chamber of claim 1 , wherein the section further comprises a slot configured to hang the container having the dried particles. 7 . The drying chamber of claim 1 , wherein the section further comprises a label. 8 . The drying chamber of claim 1 , further comprising cut and seal locations that, when sealed, form walls of the container having the dried particles. 9 . The drying chamber of claim 8 , wherein, once the liquid is dried, the section is sealed and separated at the cut and seal locations to become the container having the dried particles. 10 . The drying chamber of claim 3 , further including a separator at the capture filter, wherein the separator is disposed between the capture filter and an inner wall of the spray drying chamber. 11 . The drying chamber of claim 3 , wherein the capture filter comprises about a 0.2 micron filter. 12 . A spray drying disposable device for spray drying a liquid, wherein the spray drying disposable device having a spray drying head and a drying chamber, the spray drying disposable device comprises: A) the spray drying head configured to produce atomized droplets and provide a drying gas from a drying gas source to the drying chamber, wherein, when in use, atomized droplets are dried into dried particles; and B) the drying chamber comprises: i) a section, disposed between a first end and a second end, configured to become a container having the dried particles after the liquid is spray dried; wherein, when in use, the atomized droplets evaporate in the drying chamber when coming into contact with the drying gas, to thereby obtain the dried particles and humid air; and wherein, when in use, the dried particles are captured within the drying chamber and the humid air is allowed to pass. 13 . The drying chamber of claim 12 , further comprising a capture filter, residing in the drying chamber, wherein the capture filter captures the dried particles and allows the humid air to pass. 14 . A drying chamber for use in spray drying a liquid in a spray drying system that uses a spray drying disposable device having a spray drying head and the drying chamber, the drying chamber comprises: A) a first end in communication with the spray drying head, wherein the spray drying head is configured to produce atomized droplets and provide drying gas to the drying chamber, wherein when in use the atomized droplets are dried into dried particles; B) a capture filter, residing in the drying chamber, wherein the capture filter captures the dried particles and allows humid air to pass; C) a gas outlet, wherein said gas outlet is attached to an exhaust port of the spray drying system during operation, wherein the humid air flows through the gas outlet; and D) a section disposed between the first end and the gas outlet and configured to become a container having dried particles after the liquid is spray dried; wherein, when in use, the atomized droplets evaporate in the drying chamber when coming into contact with the drying gas emitted from the spray drying head, to thereby obtain dried particles and humid air.
