Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A micro puree machine including a housing, a power shaft, a bowl assembly and a platform. The power shaft extends from the housing. The bowl assembly including at least one locking bowl element. The platform includes at least one complementary locking platform element that is configured to engage the at least one locking bowl element such that rotation of the bowl assembly relative to the platform is prevented at times the bowl assembly is positioned thereon. The platform is rotatable from a first position to a second position relative to the housing such that the platform raises the bowl assembly towards the power shaft during the rotation of the bowl assembly and platform. The raising of the bowl assembly facilitates connection between the power shaft and a blade assembly that is positioned in a lid assembly on the bowl assembly.

What is claimed is: 1 . A blade assembly, comprising: a central support hub having an upper end and a lower end; a connector located at the upper end of the central support hub, the connector having a first open end and a second closed end, the connector being configured to cooperate with a power shaft; an angled ledge located at the upper end of the central support hub and an undercut located below the angled ledge and extending at least partially around a circumference of the central support hub, the angled ledge and the undercut configured to be removeably coupled to a lid; and at least one blade extending outward from a circumferential surface of the central support hub. 2 . The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one blade includes two mixing blades. 3 . The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one blade includes two cutting blades. 4 . The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one blade includes two mixing blades and two cutting blades, the two mixing blades extending outwards from the circumferential surface of the central support hub in opposite directions from each other, and the two mixing blades extend outwards from the circumferential surface of the central support hub in opposite directions from each other. 5 . The blade assembly of claim 4 , wherein the two mixing blades are positioned at approximately a right angle relative to the two cutting blades. 6 . The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the central support hub is generally cylindrical. 7 . The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the at least one blade includes a first cutting blade and a second cutting blade, the first cutting blade including a first groove located at a first distance from a central axis defined by the central support hub, the first groove defining a first length. 8 . The blade assembly of claim 7 , wherein the second cutting blade includes a second groove located at a second distance from the central axis, the second groove defining a second length. 9 . The blade assembly of claim 8 , wherein the first length of the first groove is greater than the second length of the second groove. 10 . The blade assembly of claim 8 , wherein the first distance from the central axis is smaller than the second distance from the central axis. 11 . The blade assembly of claim 8 , wherein the first cutting blade includes a third groove located at a third distance from the central axis, the third groove defining a third length. 12 . The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the first length of the first groove is greater than the third length of the third groove. 13 . The blade assembly of claim 11 , wherein the third distance of the third groove is greater than the first distance of the first groove. 14 . The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the angled ledge extends about at least a portion of an outer perimeter of the central support hub. 15 . The blade assembly of claim 1 , wherein the lower end of the central support hub defines a bottom surface, the bottom surface comprising at least one V-shaped groove for directing material to be processed away from the central support hub and into a path of the at least one blade. 16 . A method of installing a blade assembly into a lid, the method comprising: inserting a central support hub of the blade assembly into an opening defined by the lid, the blade assembly further comprising: the central support hub having an upper end and a lower end; a connector located at the upper end of the central support hub, the connector having a first open end and a second closed end; an angled ledge located at the upper end of the central support hub and an undercut located below the angled ledge and extending at least partially around a circumference of the central support hub; and at least one blade extending outward from a circumferential surface of the central support hub, wherein inserting the central support hub of the blade assembly into the opening engages the angled ledge and the undercut of the blade assembly to the lid. 17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising: engaging the connector of the blade assembly with a power shaft extending through the opening of the lid. 18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the at least one blade includes two mixing blades and two cutting blades, the two mixing blades extending outwards from the circumferential surface of the central support hub in opposite directions from each other, and the two mixing blades extend outwards from the circumferential surface of the central support hub in opposite directions from each other. 19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the angled ledge extends about at least a portion of an outer perimeter of the central support hub. 20 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the lower end of the central support hub defines a bottom surface, the bottom surface comprising at least one V-shaped groove for directing material to be processed away from the central support hub and into a path of the at least one blade.
