Provided is a magnetic tape cartridge including: a case in which a magnetic tape on which a plurality of servo bands are formed is accommodated; and a storage medium provided in the case, in which the plurality of servo bands are formed at positions spaced apart from each other in a width direction of the magnetic tape along an entire length direction of the magnetic tape, and the storage medium stores pitch information capable of specifying a pitch in the width direction between the plurality of servo bands and distance information capable of specifying a distance between a plurality of servo reading elements that have read the plurality of servo bands.

What is claimed is: 1 . A magnetic tape cartridge comprising: a magnetic tape on which a plurality of servo bands are formed; and a storage medium that is integrated with or separated from the magnetic tape, wherein the plurality of servo bands are formed at positions spaced apart from each other in a width direction of the magnetic tape along an entire length direction of the magnetic tape, and the storage medium has a pre-prepared area for storing information corresponding to a pitch in the width direction between the plurality of servo bands; and wherein the information is derived from a distance between a plurality of servo reading elements for reading the plurality of servo bands, and a pitch in the width direction between the plurality of servo bands that have been read by the plurality of servo reading elements. 2 . The magnetic tape cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the information is variable according to the age or usage environment of the magnetic tape. 3 . The magnetic tape cartridge according to claim 1 , wherein the information is derived after the magnetic tape has been incorporated as the magnetic tape cartridge.
