The present invention generally relates to golf bags having a lightweight and durable top frame assembly. The lightweight top frame assembly can have handle and leg sub-assemblies. Three-dimensional printing methods can be used to form the top frame assembly or any portion thereof. The golf bags may include a cord assembly extending across the top frame to form one or more club dividers for organizing golf clubs.

What is claimed is: 1 . A golf bag, comprising: a body for storing golf equipment, and a top frame attached to the body, the top frame comprising: a handle assembly; a leg assembly comprising a plurality of leg-holding brackets configured to receive one or more legs of the golf bag; a wire comprising (i) a first segment extending continuously from a first end of the handle assembly to a first end of the leg assembly and (ii) a second segment extending continuously from a second end of the handle assembly to a second end of the leg assembly to connect the handle assembly and the leg assembly, wherein the wire has a horseshoe shape with (i) a closed end configured to extend between and through the plurality of leg-holding brackets to provide a fixed pivot point for the one or more legs and (ii) free ends oriented towards the handle assembly, wherein the free ends are connected to different ends of the handle assembly to form a top opening of the golf bag; and a plurality of dividers extending across the top frame. 2 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the wire is configured to extend along a right side and a left side of the golf bag. 3 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the wire is configured to extend around a side of the golf bag opposite the leg assembly. 4 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the wire provides a direct un-intermediated connection between (i) the first and second ends of the handle assembly and (ii) the first and second ends of the leg assembly. 5 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the handle assembly comprises one or more openings configured to receive the wire. 6 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the wire comprises a rigid or non-elastic material that is substantially inextensible. 7 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of dividers comprises an elastic cord. 8 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein a cord segment of the plurality of dividers is looped around the wire. 9 . The golf bag of claim 1 , further comprising one or more cord connector pieces configured to shape the plurality of dividers extending across the top frame. 10 . The golf bag of claim 1 , further comprising one or more fasteners configured to secure one or more cord segments of the plurality of dividers to the wire. 11 . The golf bag of claim 1 , further comprising one or more support posts coupled to the handle assembly, wherein the one or more support posts comprise an aperture for receiving a cord segment of the plurality of dividers. 12 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the top frame comprises a lattice structure. 13 . The golf bag of claim 12 , wherein said portion of the top frame includes the handle assembly or the leg assembly. 14 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the free ends are spaced apart from each other. 15 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the handle assembly comprises a central handle member configured to extend between the free ends. 16 . The golf bag of claim 15 , wherein the first end of the handle assembly comprises a first opening configured to receive one of the free ends and wherein the second end of the handle assembly comprises a second opening configured to receive another one of the free ends, wherein the first and second openings are spaced apart and offset from each other. 17 . The golf bag of claim 16 , wherein the central handle member comprises a solid structure configured to extend between the first opening and the second opening to separate the first and second openings. 18 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the first end of the handle assembly and the second end of the handle assembly are configured to form part of the top opening of the golf bag. 19 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the wire is configured to maintain a fixed position and orientation relative to the body of the golf bag when the golf bag is moved between an upright position and a tilted position. 20 . The golf bag of claim 1 , wherein the one or more legs of the leg assembly are configured to extend and retract independently of the handle assembly.
