Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Embodiments of the present disclosure may include a method for enhancing a video game trophy, including detecting an end game state to a video game corresponding to award of a trophy. Embodiments may also include extracting metadata relating to a structure of the end game state from gameplay information associated with award of the trophy. Embodiments may also include determining metrics for the end game state from the metadata. Embodiments may also include applying a drama engine to the metrics for the end game state to generate commentary data corresponding to commentary on the award of the trophy.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method for enhancing a video game trophy, comprising: detecting an end game state to a video game corresponding to award of a trophy; extracting metadata relating to a structure of the end game state from gameplay information associated with award of the trophy; determining metrics for the end game state from the metadata; and applying a drama engine to the metrics for the end game state to generate commentary data corresponding to commentary on award of the trophy. 2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising associating the commentary data with trophy data corresponding to the trophy, wherein the commentary data and the trophy data are associated in a way that the commentary on the award of the trophy is presented when the trophy is viewed using the trophy data. 3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising generating trophy data corresponding to the trophy and associating the commentary data with trophy data corresponding to the trophy, wherein the commentary data and the trophy data are associated in a way that the commentary on the award of the trophy is presented when the trophy is viewed using the trophy data. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining metrics for the end game state from the metadata includes an analysis of a change in metrics between an initial game state and the end game state. 5 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising recording gameplay information for a video game starting at the initial game state, wherein detecting the end game state includes detecting the end game state from the recorded gameplay information. 6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the change in metrics between the initial game state and the end game state includes an amount of time elapsed between the initial game state and the end game state. 7 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the change in metrics between the initial game state and the end game state includes a change in a player character asset. 8 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the change in metrics between the initial game state and the end game state includes a change in a player character location. 9 . The method of claim 4 , further comprising generating a prompt from a timeline of events occurring within the video game between the initial game state and the end game state. 10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein applying the drama engine to the metrics for the end game state to generate commentary data corresponding to commentary on the award of the trophy includes entering the prompt into a natural language processing artificial intelligence Chabot. 11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the commentary data includes synthesized audio commentary data. 12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the commentary data includes video data. 13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the commentary data includes video data and synthesized audio commentary data. 14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the commentary data includes text data. 15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein applying the drama engine to the metrics for the end game state to generate the commentary data corresponding to the commentary on award of the trophy includes identifying one or more events. 16 . A system for enhancing a video game trophy, comprising: a trophy module configured to detect an end game state to a video game corresponding to award of a trophy; a data capture module configured to extract metadata relating to a structure of the end game state from gameplay information associated with award of the trophy; a metric module configured to determine metrics for the end game state from the metadata; and a drama engine configured to use the metrics for the end game state to generate commentary data corresponding to commentary on award of the trophy. 17 . The system of claim 16 , further comprising a recording module configured to record gameplay information for a video game starting at an initial game state. 18 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the trophy module is configured to detect the end game state from recorded gameplay information. 19 . The system of claim 16 , and wherein the metric module is configured to determine a change in metrics between an initial game state and an end game state. 20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the drama engine is configured to generate a prompt from a timeline of events occurring within the video game between the initial game state and the end game state.
