A washing machine is configured to rotate a cylindrical drum formed by processing a metal sheet about a horizontal axis. The drum includes a lifter, formed by processing the metal sheet, respectively provided at a plurality of points spaced along a circumferential direction, when viewed from a front side. The lifter includes a front lifter which is formed by protruding the metal sheet into the drum, and pressurized to be extended in a longitudinal direction of the drum, and a rear lifter disposed in a rear side of the front lifter. The rear lifter is disposed to form a certain phase angle with respect to the front lifter.

What is claimed is: 1 . A washing machine comprising: a casing; a washing tub disposed in the casing; a drum that is rotatably disposed in the washing tub and that has an elongated cylindrical shape, the drum having an opening defined at a front end of the drum and configured to receive laundry; a rear cover coupled to a rear end of the drum; a motor configured to rotate the drum, the motor having a rotating shaft that is connected to the rear cover; and a plurality of lifters that protrude from an inner circumferential surface of the drum and that are formed integrally with the drum, the plurality of lifters extending along a longitudinal direction of the drum, wherein the plurality of lifters include: a front lifter that is disposed closer to the opening than to the rear cover, and a rear lifter that is disposed closer to the rear cover than to the opening and that is spaced apart from the front lifter, wherein each of the front and rear lifters includes a front end, a rear end, and side ends connecting the front end and the rear end, and wherein the drum defines a reinforcement groove between the front lifter and the rear lifter, the reinforcement groove extending from a first position corresponding to an outer edge of the front lifter to a second position corresponding to an outer edge of the rear lifter through an area between the front lifter and the rear lifter. 2 . The washing machine of claim 1 , wherein a longitudinal center line of the front lifter and a longitudinal center line of the rear lifter are spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the drum. 3 . The washing machine of claim 2 , wherein at least a portion of the front lifter overlaps with at least a portion of the rear lifter along the longitudinal direction of the drum such that the front lifter and the rear lifter at least partially overlap each other when viewed from a front side in a direction of a rotation axis of the drum. 4 . The washing machine of claim 2 , wherein an inner side end of the front lifter and an inner side end of the rear lifter are spaced apart in the circumferential direction of the drum. 5 . The washing machine of claim 2 , wherein, in the circumferential direction of the drum, a rear part of the front lifter and a front part of the rear lifter overlap with each other, and wherein the reinforcement groove extends between the rear part of the front lifter and the front part of the rear lifter. 6 . The washing machine of claim 1 , wherein the reinforcement groove includes a first portion that is located in an area corresponding to a rear of the front lifter and that is located outside of an area corresponding to a front of the rear lifter. 7 . The washing machine of claim 6 , wherein the reinforcement groove further includes a second portion that is located in the area corresponding to the front of the rear lifter and that is located outside of the area corresponding to the rear of the front lifter. 8 . The washing machine of claim 6 , wherein the reinforcement groove further includes a third portion that is located in an area corresponding to the front of the rear lifter and corresponding to the rear of the front lifter. 9 . The washing machine of claim 1 , wherein the drum has the reinforcement groove disposed between the rear end of the front lifter and the front end of the rear lifter. 10 . The washing machine of claim 9 , wherein the reinforcement groove is disposed at a center portion (CP) of the inner circumferential surface of the drum in the longitudinal direction of the drum. 11 . The washing machine of claim 1 , wherein the reinforcement groove is formed by making an outer circumferential surface of the drum convex outward. 12 . The washing machine of claim 11 , wherein no other protrusion is protruded radially outward from a portion of the outer circumferential surface of the drum between the front and rear lifters. 13 . The washing machine of claim 11 , wherein the reinforcement groove is recessed outward from the inner circumferential surface of the drum and protrudes outward from the outer circumferential surface of the drum. 14 . The washing machine of claim 11 , wherein the reinforcement groove is formed by bending or pressing a metal plate forming the drum. 15 . The washing machine of claim 11 , wherein the reinforcement groove is one of a plurality of reinforcement grooves that are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the drum and that are spaced apart from one another, and wherein a gap area between adjacent reinforcement grooves among the plurality of reinforcement grooves is flat shaped along the inner circumferential surface of the drum. 16 . The washing machine of claim 11 , wherein the reinforcement groove is formed in a U shape. 17 . The washing machine of claim 16 , wherein an angle formed by a side surface of the reinforcement groove with respect to the inner circumferential surface of the drum is vertical. 18 . The washing machine of claim 1 , wherein the reinforcement groove extends in a circumferential direction of the drum, and wherein the reinforcement groove has a length in the circumferential direction of the drum longer than a width of the lifters. 19 . The washing machine of claim 1 , wherein a length of the reinforcement groove is 70 mm or more, and a depth of the reinforcement groove is 3 mm or more and less than 10 mm. 20 . The washing machine of claim 19 , wherein a height of the lifters is less than 3 times a depth of the reinforcement groove. 21 . The washing machine of claim 1 , wherein the reinforcement groove is one of a plurality of reinforcement grooves that are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the drum and that are spaced apart from one another, and wherein a distance between adjacent reinforcement grooves among the plurality of reinforcement grooves is smaller than a distance between one of the lifters and one of the plurality of reinforcement grooves that is disposed most adjacent to the one of the lifters. 22 . The washing machine of claim 21 , wherein a height of each of the front and rear lifters is lower than a total width of the plurality of reinforcement grooves. 23 .
