A deployable grill including a support frame having a support member operable between a stowed position and a deployed position. First and second brackets outwardly extend from the support member and are spaced-apart from one another to define a receiving area therebetween. A heating element is disposed on the support member adjacent to the receiving area. At least one spit rod is received in the receiving area.

What is claimed is: 1 . A cooktop, comprising: a support frame; a support member coupled to the support frame and operable between first and second positions with respect to the support frame; at least one spit rod operably coupled to a receiving area of the support member; a heating element disposed on the support member; a hinge assembly coupled between the support member and the support frame, wherein the hinge assembly rotatably couples the support member to the support frame; and a drive system operably coupled to the support member and the at least one spit rod for rotating the at least one spit rod relative to the support member. 2 . The cooktop of claim 1 , wherein the hinge assembly includes a first hinge member coupled to the support frame and a second hinge member coupled to the support member, and further wherein the first and second hinge members are pivotally coupled to one another. 3 . The cooktop of claim 2 , wherein the hinge assembly further includes a biasing mechanism configured to bias the support member towards a deployed position. 4 . The cooktop of claim 1 , wherein the heating element is configured to radiate heat toward the receiving area when the support member is disposed in both the first and second positions. 5 . The cooktop of claim 1 , wherein the at least one spit rod includes a plurality of spit rods spaced-apart from one another as received in the receiving area. 6 . The cooktop of claim 5 , wherein the drive system includes a motor coupled to each of the plurality of spit rods, respectively, to rotate each spit rod independently. 7 . The cooktop of claim 1 , further comprising: first and second brackets extending from an inner surface of the support member and defining the receiving area therebetween, wherein the receiving area extends longitudinally relative to the support member. 8 . The cooktop of claim 7 , further comprising: a housing at least partially defined by the first bracket, wherein the drive system is at least partially disposed within the housing. 9 . A cooktop for a cooking appliance, comprising: a support frame; a support member rotatably coupled to the support frame, the support member being operable between a stowed position and a deployed position; first and second brackets extending from the support member and defining a receiving area therebetween; a heating element coupled to the support member adjacent the receiving area; and spit rods extending between the first and second brackets adjacent the receiving area; and a drive system operably coupled to the spit rods, wherein the drive system includes a follower pulley coupled to each spit rod, respectively, and a drive pulley operably coupled with a motor, the drive pulley being operably coupled to the follower pulleys via a drive belt. 10 . The cooktop of claim 9 , further comprising: a burner operably coupled to the support frame; and a grate disposed over the burner, wherein a cover of the support member is parallel with the grate when the support member is in the stowed position. 11 . The cooktop of claim 9 , wherein the heating element is configured to radiate heat toward the receiving area when the support member is disposed in the stowed position, disposed in the deployed position, and when rotating therebetween. 12 . The cooktop of claim 9 , further comprising: a hinge assembly rotatably coupling the support member to the support frame, the hinge assembly including a biasing mechanism configured to bias the support member towards the deployed position. 13 . The cooktop of claim 9 , wherein first and second ends of the spit rods are removably coupled to the first and second brackets, respectively. 14 . A cooking appliance, comprising: a cooktop defining a cavity; a burner operably coupled to the cooktop; and a deployable grill coupled to the cooktop adjacent the cavity, wherein the deployable grill is operable between a deployed position and a stowed position, and further wherein the deployable grill is disposed at least partially within the cavity when the deployable grill is in the stowed position, the deployable grill including: a support member; a spit rod operably coupled to a receiving area of the support member; and a drive system operably coupled to the support member and the spit rod for rotating the spit rod relative to the support member. 15 . The cooking appliance of claim 14 , wherein the support member extends at an angle in a range of 45° to 135° relative to the cooktop when in the deployed position. 16 . The cooking appliance of claim 14 , wherein the deployable grill further includes a heating element coupled to the support member and configured to radiate heat toward the receiving area. 17 . The cooking appliance of claim 14 , further comprising: a first bracket defining a slot for receiving a first end of the spit rod; a second bracket defining an aperture for receiving a second end of the spit rod; and a retaining member selectively coupled to the first end of the spit rod for retaining the spit rod in the slot. 18 . The cooking appliance of claim 14 , wherein the drive system includes a motor coupled to the spit rod to rotate the spit rod.
