What is claimed is: 1 . A viewing optic comprising: a body having an optical system configured to focus a target image from an outward scene to a first focal plane; and one or more enabler interfaces the one or more enabler interfaces having a first portion on a right side of the body, a second portion on the left side of the body, and a central portion on a top portion of the body, the first and second portions slopping from 45° to 35°, wherein each of the first portion and the second portion each have at least two screw holes configured to secure an enabler device to the viewing optic and configured to accept an enabler device. 2 . The viewing optic of claim 1 , wherein the one or more enabler interfaces comprises two enabler interfaces. 3 . The viewing optic of claim 2 , wherein one of the two enabler interfaces is located forward of an etched reticle elevation adjustment knob. 4 . The viewing optic of claim 3 , wherein the second of the two enabler interfaces is located behind an etched reticle elevation adjustment knob. 5 . The viewing optic of claim 1 , further comprising an enabler device selected from the group consisting of: a laser range finder, a camera, a compass module, a communication module, a laser aiming unit, an illuminator, an iron sight, a red dot, and a pivoting sighting module. 6 . A viewing optic comprising: a body having an optical system configured to focus a target image from an outward scene to a first focal plane; a front enabler interface located forward of an etched reticle elevation adjustment knob and configured to accept a front enabler device; the front enabler interface having a first portion on a right side of the body, a second portion on the left side of the body, and a central portion on a top portion of the body, the first and second portions slopping from 45° to 35°, wherein each of the first portion and the second portion each have at least two screw holes configured to secure the front enabler device to the viewing optic; a rear enabler interface located behind the etched reticle elevation adjustment knob and configured to accept a rear enabler device, the rear enabler interface having first portion on a right side of the body, a second portion on the left side of the body, and a central portion on a top portion of the body, the first and second portions slopping from 45° to 35°, wherein each of the first portion and the second portion each have at least two screw holes configured to secure the rear enabler device to the viewing optic. 7 . The viewing optic of claim 6 , further comprising a rear enabler device selected from the group consisting of: a laser range finder, a camera, a compass module, a communication module, a laser aiming unit, an illuminator, an iron sight, a red dot, and a pivoting sighting module. 8 . The viewing optic of claim 6 , further comprising an active display configured to generate a digital image; and a rear enabler device configured to communicate information to the active display, wherein said information is projected into the first focal plane of the viewing optic. 9 . The viewing optic of claim 6 , further comprising a laser range finder coupled to the rear enabler interface.
