A method for configuring a myoelectrically controlled prosthetic system with a prosthesis socket and several lead electrodes for recording electric muscle activities, featuring the steps: placement of a surface electrode arrangement comprising several surface electrodes around the circumference of a residual limb, recording of electric muscle activity in muscles of the residual limb as electromyographic signals, the activity being recorded by the surface electrodes, evaluation of the myoelectric signals with regards to the distinctness of the signals, selection of the control procedure that is to be used to control the prosthesis system, based on the evaluation of the distinctness of the signals, and fixing of the lead electrodes to the prosthesis socket.

The invention claimed is: 1 . A prosthesis system, comprising: a prosthesis socket, which can be arranged on a residual limb; a plurality of electrodes for recording electric muscle activities; a control unit connected to the plurality of electrodes; a driven prosthesis component fixed to the prosthesis socket and coupled to the control unit; a surface electrode arrangement including the plurality of electrodes which are configured to be arranged on a residual limb, wherein the surface electrode arrangement is configured to be arranged on the residual limb such that the surface electrode arrangement can be at least one of shifted and twisted; a dome system configured to extend through a base body, the dome system comprising: a dome and a dome nut adapted to directly contact a surface of a patient's skin, the dome configured to detect the electric muscle activities on the surface of the patient's skin, the dome system being further configured to conduct the electric muscle activities from an inner side of the base body to an outer side of the base body, wherein each electrode of the plurality of electrodes comprises a contact tab electrically coupled to the dome, wherein the dome is configured to conduct the electric muscle activities to the dome nut and the dome nut is configured to conduct the electric muscle activities to the contact tab and the contact tab is configured to conduct the electric muscle activities to the control unit, wherein each electrode of the plurality of electrodes comprises a cap attached to the dome nut on the outer side of the base body, the cap configured to insulate the dome system, and wherein the cap is arranged around the contact tab. 2 . The prosthesis system according to claim 1 , wherein each electrode of the plurality of electrodes comprises a first disc positioned between the base body and the contact tab. 3 . The prosthesis system according to claim 2 , wherein the first disc is configured to insulate a portion of the dome system. 4 . The prosthesis system according to claim 1 , wherein each electrode of the plurality of electrodes comprises a second disc positioned between the dome system and the contact tab. 5 . The prosthesis system according to claim 4 , wherein the second disc is configured to insulate a portion of the dome system. 6 . The prosthesis system according to claim 1 , wherein the cap is clipped onto the dome nut.
