Exclusion devices for anatomical structures, and related instruments and related methods, are disclosed. An application instrument for an exclusion device may include an end effector including a head configured to be disposed distally on a shaft, a stationary jaw fixedly disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a first clamping portion of an exclusion device, the exclusion device being biased in a closing direction, and a movable jaw movably disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a second clamping portion of the exclusion device. The movable jaw may be movable relative to the stationary jaw to reconfigure the exclusion device from a closed configuration to an open configuration. The movable jaw may be oriented generally parallel to the stationary jaw when the exclusion device is in the open configuration and the closed configuration.

What is claimed is: 1 . An application instrument comprising: an end effector comprising a head configured to be disposed distally on a shaft, a stationary jaw fixedly disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a first clamping portion of an exclusion device for an anatomical structure, the exclusion device being biased in a closing direction, and a movable jaw movably disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a second clamping portion of the exclusion device, wherein the movable jaw is movable relative to the stationary jaw to reconfigure the exclusion device from a closed configuration to an open configuration, wherein the end effector comprises a cover secured to the head, and wherein the movable jaw is oriented generally parallel to the stationary jaw when the exclusion device is in the open configuration and the closed configuration. 2 . The application instrument of claim 1 , wherein the exclusion device comprises at least one spring arranged to exert a closing force on the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion; and wherein the end effector is configured to facilitate reconfiguration of the exclusion device from the open configuration to the closed configuration using the closing force exerted by the at least one spring. 3 . The application instrument of claim 1 , further comprising the shaft, the head disposed distally on the shaft. 4 . The application instrument of claim 3 , further comprising a handle portion disposed proximally on the shaft. 5 . The application instrument of claim 4 , wherein the handle portion comprises a first actuator operable by a user to reconfigure the exclusion device from the closed configuration to the open configuration. 6 . The application instrument of claim 4 , wherein the handle portion comprises a second actuator operable by a user to deploy the exclusion device from the stationary jaw and the movable jaw. 7 . The application instrument of claim 6 , wherein the second actuator is operatively coupled to the end effector by a deployment cable; and wherein the end effector comprises a cable management guide arranged to allow movement of the movable jaw without relative movement of the deployment cable. 8 . The application instrument of claim 7 , wherein the cable management guide comprises a cable management pin. 9 . The application instrument of claim 1 , wherein the cover is secured to the head by at least one of a rivet, an orbital rivet, a weld, or a threaded fastener. 10 . The application instrument of claim 1 , wherein the movable jaw is disposed on a traveler; wherein the traveler is movably disposed on the head; and wherein the end effector comprises at least one friction reduction element operatively interposing the traveler and the head. 11 . The application instrument of claim 10 , wherein the at least one friction reduction element comprises at least one ball bearing, at least one roller, or at least one low-friction slider. 12 . An application instrument comprising: an end effector comprising a head configured to be disposed distally on a shaft operatively coupled to a user control, a first jaw mounted to the head and configured to releasably couple to a biased-closed exclusion device for an anatomical structure, and a second jaw mounted to the head and configured to releasably couple to the biased-closed exclusion device; wherein the first jaw is repositionable with respect to the head in a linear path using a linear track and a bearing follower; wherein the first jaw extends longitudinally in parallel to the second jaw; wherein the first jaw is repositionable with respect to the second jaw; and, wherein a cover is mounted to the head to contain the linear track and the bearing follower. 13 . The application instrument of claim 12 , wherein: the second jaw is integrally formed with the head; and, the linear track extends perpendicular to the second jaw. 14 . The application instrument of claim 12 , wherein the first jaw is mounted to a traveler, the traveler including a post received by the bearing follower. 15 . An application instrument comprising: an end effector comprising a head configured to be disposed distally on a shaft operatively coupled to a user control, a first jaw mounted to the head and configured to releasably couple to a biased-closed exclusion device for an anatomical structure, the first jaw extending from the head at a first angle that remains constant, and a second jaw mounted to the head and configured to releasably couple to the biased-closed exclusion device, the second jaw extending from the head at a second angle that remains constant; wherein at least one of the first jaw and the second jaw is movable relative to the head to reconfigure the exclusion device from a closed configuration to an open configuration, wherein the first angle is constant in the open configuration and the closed configuration, wherein the first jaw is repositionably mounted to the head, wherein the end effector further includes a cable operatively coupled to the first jaw and extending along the shaft and into engagement with a repositionable handle of the user control, and wherein the second angle is constant in the open configuration and the closed configuration. 16 . The application instrument of claim 15 , wherein the head includes a management pin around which a deployment cable is routed, the deployment cable being operative coupled to both the biased-closed exclusion device and at least one of the first jaw and the second jaw when the biased-closed exclusion device is coupled to the first jaw and the second jaw. 17 . The application instrument of claim 15 , wherein the biased-closed exclusion device includes a first beam overlapping and coupled to a second beam by way of a pair of springs, where the pair of springs extend longitudinally beyond the first and second beams in a closed position and discontinue longitudinally extending beyond the first and second beams in an open position. 18 . An application instrument comprising: an end effector comprising a head configured to be disposed distally on a shaft, a stationary jaw fixedly disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a first clamping portion of an exclusion device for an anatomical structure, the exclusion device being biased in a closing direction, and a movable jaw movably disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a second clamping portion of the exclusion device, wherein the movable jaw is movable relative to the stationary jaw to reconfigure the exclusion device from a closed configuration to an open configuration, wherein the movable jaw is disposed on a traveler; wherein the traveler is movably disposed on the head; and wherein the end effector comprises at least one bearing operatively interposing the traveler and the head, and wherein the movable jaw is oriented generally parallel to the stationary jaw when the exclusion device is in the open configuration and the closed configuration. 19 .
