Various apparatuses to attach a first medical device to a second medical device are described that allow the physician to grasp only a single device while the other device remains securely attached to the one being grasped. The apparatuses, once they are attached to the first medical device, are designed to be easily and quickly attached and detached to a second medical device, normally only requiring the use of one hand. Furthermore, the apparatuses oftentimes include a base that can easily couple and decouple from the portion that is attached to the second medical device so that if the need arises to separately use the second medical device, it can be decoupled from the first medical device without completely removing the apparatus from the second medical device.

The invention claimed is: 1 . A medical assembly, comprising: a medical scope having a handle; and an apparatus coupled to the handle and configured for securing the medical scope to a medical device, the apparatus including: a body having a first wall on a first side of the body, a second wall on a second side of the body, and a front wall extending between the first wall and the second wall; and a strap having a first end that is fixedly coupled to the first wall and a second end that is releasably coupleable to the second wall, wherein the strap is configured to wrap around the medical device to releasably secure the medical device to the medical scope. 2 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein the second end of the strap is a free end that is releasably coupleable to the second wall. 3 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein the second end of the strap comprises a keyed feature for releasably coupling the strap to the second wall. 4 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the strap is flexible. 5 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein the second end of the strap includes a tip, wherein a portion the tip extends in a lateral direction relative to a remainder of the strap. 6 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first wall, the second wall, and the front wall are collectively U-shaped. 7 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein the second wall includes a slot for receiving the strap. 8 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein front wall is configured to support the medical device. 9 . The medical assembly of claim 1 , wherein the body is releasably coupled to the handle. 10 . An apparatus for attaching a first medical device to a second medical device, the apparatus comprising: a first wall on a first side of the apparatus; a second wall on a second side of the apparatus, wherein the second wall has an opening; and a strap having a first end that is fixedly coupled to the first wall, and a second end including a tip having a keyed feature, wherein inserting the tip with the keyed feature into the opening releasably couples the second end of the strap to the second wall in order to couple the first medical device to the second medical device. 11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the strap is flexible and the second end of the strap is a free end. 12 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the opening is a recess. 13 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein a portion of the tip extends in a lateral direction relative to a remainder of the strap. 14 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first wall, the second wall, and a front wall between the first wall and the second wall are collectively U-shaped. 15 . The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the front wall supports the second medical device. 16 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the apparatus is releasably coupleable to each of the first medical device and the second medical device. 17 . The first medical device of claim 10 , wherein the opening is disposed between a top portion and a bottom portion of the second wall. 18 . A medical assembly, comprising: a medical scope having a handle, the medical scope capable of illumination and imaging; and an apparatus for securing the medical scope to a medical device, wherein the apparatus is coupled to the handle of the medical scope, the apparatus including: a first wall on a first side of the apparatus and defining a surface between a top portion of the wall and a bottom portion of the first wall, and wherein the surface is recessed between the top portion and the bottom portion of the first wall; and a strap emanating from a second wall on a second side of the apparatus, opposite the first side, wherein at least a portion of the strap is removably receivable by the surface between the top portion of the wall and the bottom portion of the wall. 19 . The medical assembly of claim 18 , wherein the strap is flexible and has a free end. 20 . The medical assembly of claim 18 , wherein the strap comprises a keyed feature configured to be received between the top portion of the wall and the bottom portion of the first wall.
