We claim: 1 . A method for controlling nematodes wherein said method comprises applying to the nematodes, and/or to the environment of the nematodes, a composition comprising a mannosylerytrithol lipid (MEL) and a Pseudozyma aphidis microorganism and/or broth in which said Pseudozyma aphidis microorganism has been cultivated, wherein the MEL is present at a concentration of 0.1 to 20 wt %. 2 . The method, according to claim 1 , further comprising applying to the nematodes, and/or to the environment of the nematodes, a nematode attractant substance. 3 . The method, according to claim 1 , used to control a nematode selected from root-knot nematode, sting nematode, soybean cyst nematode, lesion nematode, dagger nematode, and citrus nematode. 4 . The method, according to claim 1 , which further comprises applying to the nematodes, and/or to the environment of the nematodes, a Starmerella microorganism and/or broth in which said Starmerella microorganism has been cultivated. 5 . The method, according to claim 1 , which further comprises applying to the nematodes, and/or to the environment of the nematodes, a Pichia anomala ( Wickerhamomyces anomalus ) microorganism and/or broth in which said Pichia anomala ( Wickerhamomyces anomalus ) microorganism has been cultivated. 6 . The method, according to claim 1 , wherein said method is used to control nematode pests of plants. 7 . The method, according to claim 6 , wherein the plants are selected from tomatoes, soybeans, corn, citrus and turfgrasses. 8 . The method, according to claim 6 , wherein the composition is applied as a seed treatment. 9 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the composition is applied to soil.
