What is claimed is: 1. An isolated subtilisin variant comprising the substitution set N76D-D120H-K213N-M222Q, wherein the isolated subtilisin variant has at least 90% amino acid sequence identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, and wherein said substitutions are at position equivalent to the positions of BPN′ subtilisin set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1. 2. An isolated nucleic acid encoding the isolated subtilisin variant set forth in claim 1 . 3. An expression vector comprising said isolated nucleic acid of claim 2 . 4. A host cell comprising said expression vector of claim 3 . 5. A cleaning composition comprising the isolated subtilisin variant set forth in claim 1 . 6. The cleaning composition of claim 5 , wherein said cleaning composition is a laundry detergent. 7. The laundry detergent of claim 6 , wherein said laundry detergent is a heavy duty liquid laundry detergent. 8. The cleaning composition of claim 5 , wherein said cleaning composition is a dish detergent. 9. The cleaning composition of claim 5 , further comprising one or more additional enzymes or enzyme derivatives selected from the group consisting of hemicellulases, peroxidases, proteases, cellulases, xylanases, lipases, phospholipases, esterases, cutinases, pectinases, keratinases, reductases, oxidases, phenol oxidases, lipoxygenases, ligninases, pullulanases, tannases, pentosanases, malanases, β-glucanases, arabinosidases, hyaluronidase, chondroitinase, laccase, and amylases, or mixtures thereof. 10. The cleaning composition of claim 5 , further comprising at least one stabilizing agent. 11. A cleaning composition comprising at least 0.0001 weight percent of the isolated subtilisin variant of claim 1 , and optionally, at least one suitable adjunct ingredient. 12. A method of cleaning, said method comprising the steps of: a) contacting a surface and/or an article comprising a fabric with the cleaning composition of claim 5 ; and b) optionally washing and/or rinsing said surface or article.
