The present invention belongs to the technical field of chemical drugs, and specifically to a compound with a-glucosidase inhibitory activity and application thereof. 5-hydroxymethyl-8-methyl-2-(N-arylamino)-pyrano[2,3-c]pyridine-3-(N-aryl)-formamide series compound is provided, possessing a structure in General formula (I). Compared with compounds with anti-diabetes activity in general sense, the compound with the strong anti-diabetes activity of the present disclosure has the apparently more important application value.

The invention claimed is: 1. A compound with a-glucosidase inhibitory activity having a structure shown in General formula (I) below: wherein R1 is halogen, R2 is a C1-C2 alcoholic hydroxyl. 2. A pharmaceutical composition for treating diabetes, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises the compound according to claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. 3. A method for treating diabetes comprising administering a compound according to claim 1 to a patient in need thereof.
