Systems, devices, and methods for detecting agrochemicals in environments associated with agricultural equipment are described. Certain agrochemicals that are formulated for being detected using the systems, devices, and methods disclosed herein are also described. The devices, systems, and methods disclosed herein are generally configured to use spectral characteristics to detect agrochemicals in an environment associated with agricultural equipment. The spectral characteristics can be analyzed in various ways to provide different types of information about the agrochemicals and/or the environment.

What is claimed is: 1. An attachment for agricultural spray equipment, the attachment comprising: a conduit for containing an agrochemical containing fluid; at least one window formed in the conduit, the at least one window configured to transmit electromagnetic radiation through the window; a connector configured for attaching the conduit to at least one of an in-line filter and a spray boom; and a detector for detecting electromagnetic radiation transmitted through the window associated with the agrochemical containing fluid, the detector configured to provide a quantitative measurement of the detected electromagnetic radiation as a function of wavelength over a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, the detector being configured to detect the agrochemical based on the quantitative measurement of the detected electromagnetic radiation as a function of wavelength over the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is transmitted through the window, and further comprising a mount for mounting the attachment on an agricultural vehicle, the mount being constructed to have: the ability to form a mechanical interface with a corresponding part of the agricultural spray equipment on which the attachment is to be mounted; resistance to water; resistance to heat; and/or chemical resistance to one or more agrochemicals. 2. An agricultural equipment assembly comprising: the attachment as set forth in claim 1 ; and a spray boom, the connector being connected to the spray boom so fluid from the spray boom flows through the conduit. 3. An agricultural equipment assembly comprising: the attachment as set forth in claim 1 ; and an in-line filter, the connector being connected to the in-line filter so fluid from the in-line filter flows through the conduit. 4. The attachment as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the at least one window comprises a first window and a second window spaced apart from the first window in opposing relation therewith. 5. The attachment as set forth in claim 4 , further comprising a light source configured to emit light through the first window into the conduit and through the second window, the detector configured to detect the light emitted through the second window. 6. The attachment as set forth in claim 5 , further comprising an optical fiber for conveying light from the light source to the first window or for conveying light from the second window to the detector. 7. The attachment as set forth in claim 5 , further comprising a protective casing enclosing the light source, the conduit, and the detector. 8. The attachment as set forth in claim 7 , wherein the protective casing is wear resistant, shock resistant, chemical resistant, vibration resistant, and/or dust resistant. 9. The attachment as set forth in claim 8 , wherein the agrochemical containing fluid contains only a trace amount of the agrochemical and wherein the detector is configured to detect the agrochemical at the trace amount based on the quantitative measurement of the detected electromagnetic radiation as a function of wavelength over the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. 10. The attachment as set forth in claim 9 , wherein the agrochemical is a dicamba, 2,4-D, or a pyridine. 11. The attachment as set forth in claim 10 , wherein the detector is configured to detect a minor absorbance peak at a wavelength caused by the trace amount of the agrochemical. 12. The attachment as set forth in claim 11 , wherein the minor absorbance peak has a wavelength in an inclusive range of from 250 nm to 350 nm. 13. The attachment as set forth in claim 11 , wherein the detector is configured to detect the minor absorbance peak at either 275 nm or 280 nm. 14. The attachment as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the connector is a first connector, the attachment further comprising a second connector on the opposite end of the conduit. 15. The attachment as set forth in claim 1 , further comprising a data exchange interface for communicatively connecting the detector to another device. 16. The attachment as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the detector is configured to determine from a single quantitative measurement of the detected electromagnetic radiation as a function of wavelength over the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum whether or not there is detectable levels of agrochemical present. 17. The attachment as set forth in claim 1 , wherein the detector is configured to determine from a single quantitative measurement of the detected electromagnetic radiation as a function of wavelength over the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum whether or not a safe zone has been achieved. 18. The attachment as set forth in claim 1 , further comprising a sensor configured to measure temperature, pH, GPS location, and/or osmolarity. 19. The attachment as set forth in claim 18 , wherein the sensor is configured to measure osmolarity.
