A tool with a deformable element that is configured to flex across an annulus based on a force being applied to an inner surface of the deformable element. The deformable element may be configured to be positioned within a chamber that is covered by a first rupture disc. The deformable element may include seals, flex joints, and a body.

What is claimed is: 1. A downhole tool for zonal isolation comprising: a mandrel with a first opening; a first retaining body with a first ledge, the first opening being aligned with the first ledge; a permanently deformable element formed of metal configured to transition from a run in hole position to a deformed position, a first end of the permanently deformable element being positioned radially between and under the first ledge and the mandrel, wherein the first end of the permanently deformable element is configured to receive forces via the first opening to act as a piston to assist in maintaining the permanently deformable element in the deformed position, an outer diameter of the permanently deformable element being smaller than the outer diameter of the first ledge before the permanently deformable element is in the deformed position, wherein the first opening permits fluid pressure from an internal diameter of the mandrel to apply a force directly to the first end the deformable element to assist in maintaining it in an energized state. 2. The downhole tool of claim 1 , wherein a first end of the piston remains under the first ledge after the permanently deformable element is radially expanded. 3. The downhole tool of claim 2 , wherein a second end of the piston is positioned axially between the first ledge and a second ledge. 4. The downhole tool of claim 3 , further comprising: a second opening within the mandrel configured to allow communication to the second end. 5. The downhole tool of claim 1 , further comprising: A seal positioned between an inner diameter of the deformable element and the mandrel. 6. The downhole tool of claim 1 , further comprising: a port configured to be aligned with a center of the permanently deformable element, the port being configured to allow a pressure within the mandrel to be communicated to an inner surface of the permanently deformable element to radially expand the permanently deformable element. 7. The downhole tool of claim 6 , wherein the pressure communicated through the port is used to radially expand the permanently deformable element, and the first end applies the first force in a first direction responsive to radially expanding the permanently deformable element.
