A method of inserting brachytherapy seeds into a body organ includes grasping a body organ between a frame defining a large central hole and an additional element. A grid defining a plurality of apertures adapted to receive elongate applicators is placed on one side of the body organ. A plurality of applicators are passed through apertures in the first and second grids and through the body organ. The brachytherapy seeds are anchored in the organ through the frame.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method of inserting brachytherapy seeds into a body organ, comprising: grasping a body organ between a frame defining a large central hole, and an additional element; placing a grid defining a plurality of apertures adapted to receive elongate applicators behind the frame; passing a plurality of applicators carrying the brachytherapy seeds through apertures in the grid and through the body organ; removing the grid; and anchoring the brachytherapy seeds in the organ through the large central hole of the frame, after removing the grid. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the additional element comprises an additional grid defining an additional plurality of apertures, such that grasping the body organ comprises grasping between the frame and the additional grid. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein removing the grid, is performed after passing the plurality of applicators through the apertures, but before anchoring the brachytherapy seeds. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the grid, the additional element and the frame have a triangular shape. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the additional element comprises an additional grid. 6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the additional element comprises an additional frame. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the additional element comprises an additional frame. 8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising placing an additional grid defining an additional plurality of apertures adapted to receive the elongate applicators, behind the additional frame. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the frame, the additional element and the grid are mounted on a same single bar. 10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the frame, the additional element and the grid are slidably mounted on the same single bar. 11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the frame, the additional element and the grid are mounted on a same forceps. 12. The method of claim 1 , wherein anchoring the brachytherapy seeds comprises fitting buttons on leading wires on which the brachytherapy seeds are mounted. 13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising grasping ends of leading wires on which the brachytherapy seeds are mounted through the large central hole, after removing the grid, to adjust the longitudinal positioning of the seeds. 14. The method of claim 1 , wherein grasping the body organ between the frame and the additional element comprises placing the frame and the additional element on opposite sides of the body organ.
