Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An organic light emitting display device includes a substrate, a light emitting structure, a first conductive pattern, and a functional module. The substrate has an opening region, a peripheral region surrounding the opening region, and a display region surrounding the peripheral region, and includes a first groove, which has an enlarged lower portion, formed in the peripheral region and an opening formed in the opening region. The light emitting structure is in the display region on the substrate. The first conductive pattern overlaps the first groove in the peripheral region on the substrate. The functional module is in the opening of the substrate.

First claim

Opening claim text (preview).

What is claimed is: 1. An organic light emitting display (“OLED”) device, comprising: a substrate having an opening; a groove surrounding the opening, the groove penetrating the substrate and blocking water and/or moisture permeated from the opening into a display region; a plurality of light emitting devices in the display region and surrounding the groove, the plurality of light emitting devices disposed and above on the substrate; a plurality of wirings electrically connected to the light emitting devices; a block structure surrounding the groove and the opening; a first insulation layer covering the block structure and the groove; and a conductive pattern disposed over the first insulation layer and disposed directly over an area between the opening and the block structure, wherein the first insulation layer has a protruded portion at a boundary of the groove, for the groove to have an undercut shape, and the conductive pattern overlaps the protruded portion in a plan view; and wherein the protruded portion has a top surface and a side surface that are substantially perpendicular. 2. The OLED device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising: a second insulation layer covering the first insulation layer; and a touch screen electrode on the second insulation layer. 3. The OLED device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the conductive pattern is disposed on the second insulation layer. 4. The OLED device as claimed in claim 3 , further comprising: an organic layer on the second insulation layer and under the conductive pattern. 5. The OLED device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the conductive pattern overlaps the groove. 6. The OLED device as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising: a second insulation layer covering the first insulation layer. 7. The OLED device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the first insulation layer has a protruded portion of the first insulation layer at a boundary of the groove, for the groove to have an undercut shape. 8. The OLED device as claimed in claim 7 , further comprising: an organic layer on the second insulation layer and under the conductive pattern. 9. The OLED device as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the conductive pattern overlaps the groove. 10. The OLED device as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the conductive pattern overlaps the protruded portion in a plan view. 11. The OLED device as claimed in claim 10 , further comprising: a touch screen electrode on the second insulation layer, wherein the touch screen electrode is formed using the same material to that of the conductive pattern. 12. The OLED device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the conductive pattern is disposed along a profile of an outer portion of the groove in plan view, and the conductive pattern surrounds a majority of the opening in plan view. 13. The OLED device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the groove is spaced apart from the opening. 14. The OLED device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the block structure is spaced apart from the groove. 15. The OLED device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the substrate includes a plurality of insulating layers, the groove penetrates completely through a top insulating layer of the plurality of insulating layers to form the protruded portion.
