Beverage compositions and methods of preparing the same are provided herein. The beverage compositions can include calcium supplied from a calcium carbonate source including aragonite and a liquid component, such as water, a juice, a milk, and a combination thereof. Calcium components including aragonite particles and at least one additive agent as well as sweetener components including aragonite particles and at least one sweetener are also provided herein.

What is claimed is: 1. A fortified coffee beverage composition comprising: calcium supplied from a calcium carbonate source comprising oolitic aragonite; a liquid component comprising coffee; and a nutrient agent comprising a vitamin, a mineral, or a combination thereof. 2. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 1 , wherein the oolitic aragonite is in the form of particles having a particle size of about 3 μm to about 10 μm in diameter. 3. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 1 , wherein the oolitic aragonite comprises milled oolitic aragonite particles. 4. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 1 , wherein the vitamin comprises vitamin A, vitamin B 1 , vitamin B 2 , vitamin B 3 , vitamin B 5 , vitamin B 6 , vitamin B 7 , vitamin B 9 , vitamin B 12 , vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and folic acid, and the mineral comprises magnesium, zinc, iron, selenium, iodine, fluoride, or a combination thereof. 5. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 1 , wherein the nutrient agent comprises vitamin A, vitamin B 1 , vitamin B 2 , vitamin B 3 , vitamin B 5 , vitamin B 6 , vitamin B 7 , vitamin B 9 , vitamin B 12 , vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, potassium, iron, magnesium, biotin, folic acid, or a combination thereof. 6. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 1 , wherein the liquid component is present in amount of about 0.1% to about 99.9% by weight based on the total fortified coffee beverage composition and/or wherein the calcium is present in amount of about 0.1% to about 10% by weight based on the total fortified coffee beverage composition. 7. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 1 , further comprising as least one additive agent selected from the group consisting of an acidulant, a flavor agent, an antifoaming agent, a colorant, a flavanol, a preservative, a sweetener, a fiber, a bracer, a probiotic, a thickener, an antioxidant, an emulsifying agent, and a combination thereof. 8. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 7 , wherein the flavor agent comprises a fruit flavor, a cola flavor, a chocolate flavor, a vanilla flavor, a caramel flavor, a chai flavor, a dairy flavor, an aloe vera flavor, a guarana flavor, a ginseng flavor, a ginkgo flavor, a hawthorn flavor, a hibiscus flavor, a rose hips flavor, a chamomile flavor, a peppermint flavor, a fennel flavor, a ginger flavor, a licorice flavor, a lotus seed flavor, a schizandra flavor, a saw palmetto flavor, a sarsaparilla flavor, a safflower flavor, a St. John's Wort flavor, a curcuma flavor, a cardamom flavor, a nutmeg flavor, a cassia bark flavor, a buchu flavor, a cinnamon flavor, a jasmine flavor, a haw flavor, a chrysanthemum flavor, a water chestnut flavor, a sugar cane flavor, a lychee flavor, a bamboo shoots flavor, or a combination thereof. 9. The fortified coffee beverage composition of claim 1 , wherein the calcium is further supplied from another source of calcium selected from the group consisting of amino acid chelated calcium, elemental calcium, calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide, calcium sulfate, calcium chloride, calcium phosphate, calcium hydrogen phosphate, calcium dihydrogen phosphate, calcium citrate, calcium picolinate, calcium malate, calcium aspartate calcium citrate malate, calcium gluconate, calcium tartrate, calcium ascorbate, calcium lactate, and a combination thereof. 10. A fortified tea beverage composition comprising: calcium supplied from a calcium carbonate source comprising oolitic aragonite; a liquid component comprising a tea; and a nutrient agent comprising a vitamin, a mineral, or a combination thereof. 11. The fortified tea beverage composition of claim 10 , wherein the oolitic aragonite is in the form of particles having a particle size of about 3 μm to about 10 μm in diameter. 12. The fortified tea beverage composition of claim 10 , wherein the tea comprises a black tea, a green tea, or a combination thereof. 13. The fortified tea beverage composition of claim 10 , wherein the vitamin comprises vitamin A, vitamin B 1 , vitamin B 2 , vitamin B 3 , vitamin B 5 , vitamin B 6 , vitamin B 7 , vitamin B 9 , vitamin B 12 , vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, and folic acid; and the mineral comprises magnesium, zinc, iron, selenium, iodine, fluoride, or a combination thereof. 14. The fortified tea beverage composition of claim 10 , wherein the nutrient agent comprises vitamin A, vitamin B 1 , vitamin B 2 , vitamin B 3 , vitamin B 5 , vitamin B 6 , vitamin B 7 , vitamin B 9 , vitamin B 12 , vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, potassium, iron, magnesium, biotin, folic acid, or a combination thereof. 15. The fortified tea beverage composition of claim 10 , wherein the liquid component is present in amount of about 0.1% to about 99.9% by weight based on the total fortified tea beverage composition and/or wherein the calcium is present in amount of about 0.1% to about 10% by weight based on the total fortified tea beverage composition. 16. The fortified tea beverage composition of claim 10 , further comprising as least one additive agent selected from the group consisting of an acidulant, a flavor agent, an antifoaming agent, a colorant, a flavanol, a preservative, a sweetener, a fiber, a bracer, a probiotic, a thickener, an antioxidant, an emulsifying agent, and a combination thereof. 17. A fortified beverage composition consisting of: calcium supplied from a calcium carbonate source comprising politic aragonite; a liquid component comprising a tea or coffee; and a nutrient agent comprising a vitamin, a mineral, or a combination thereof.
