Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

While a first notification mode is active for the computer system and while the computer system is in a low power state, a computer system detects a first request to wake the computer system. In response, the computer system displays a first wake screen user interface with a first background image. While displaying the first wake screen user interface, the computer system detects a request to switch from the first notification mode to a second notification mode. In response, the computer system switches from the first notification mode to the second notification mode at the computer system. While the second notification mode is active for the computer system and while the computer system is in the low power state, the computer systems detects a second request to wake the computer system. In response the computer system displays a second wake screen user interface with a second background image.

What is claimed is: 1. A method comprising: at a computer system that is in communication with a display generation component and one or more input devices: while a first notification mode, which has a first set of one more rules for notification delivery at the computer system, is active for the computer system; detecting, via the one or more input devices, a first request to wake the computer system from a low power state; and in response to detecting the first request to wake the computer system, displaying, via the display generation component, a first wake screen user interface with a first background image, wherein the first background image is an image previously selected for use while the first notification mode is active, based on one or more user selections in one or more settings user interfaces; after displaying the first wake screen user interface, detecting a request to switch from the first notification mode to a second notification mode, which has a second set of one or more rules for notification delivery that are different from the first set of one or more rules for notification delivery; in response to detecting the request to switch from the first notification mode to the second notification mode, switching from the first notification mode to the second notification mode at the computer system; and while the second notification mode is active for the computer system; detecting, via the one or more input devices, a second request to wake the computer system from the low power state; and in response to detecting the second request to wake the computer system, while the second notification mode remains active, displaying, via the display generation component, a second wake screen user interface with a second background image that is different from the first background image, instead of displaying the first wake screen user interface, wherein the second background image is an image previously selected for use while the second notification mode is active, based on one or more user selections in one or more settings user interfaces. 2. The method of claim 1 , including: before detecting the request to switch from the first notification mode to the second notification mode: transitioning the computer system from a wake state to the low power state; while the computer system is in the low power state, detecting a third request to wake the computer system; in response to detecting the third request to wake the computer system, displaying the first wake screen user interface with the first background image; and while the second notification mode is active for the computer system: transitioning the computer system from a wake state to the low power state; while the computer system is in the low power state, detecting a fourth request to wake the computer system; and in response to detecting the fourth request to wake the computer system, displaying the second wake screen user interface with the second background image that is different from the first background image. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the first wake screen user interface is a wake screen user interface for a first user; and the second wake screen user interface is a wake screen user interface for the first user. 4. The method of claim 1 , including: after switching from the first notification mode to the second notification mode at the computer system, and while the second notification mode is active for the computer system, transitioning the computer system from a wake state to the low power state. 5. The method of claim 1 , including: while the first notification mode is active for the computer system, suppressing a first subset of received notifications in accordance with the first set of one or more rules for notification delivery; and while the second notification mode is active for the computer system, suppressing a second subset of received notifications, different from the first subset of received notifications, in accordance with the second set of one or more rules for notification delivery. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein switching from the first notification mode to the second notification mode includes enabling a restricted notification mode in which certain types of notifications are suppressed. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein switching from the first notification mode to the second notification mode includes disabling a restricted notification mode in which certain types of notifications are suppressed. 8. The method of claim 1 , including: detecting a request to transition from a current wake screen to a corresponding application launch user interface; and in response to detecting the request to transition from the current wake screen to the corresponding application launch user interface: in accordance with a determination that the first notification mode is active at the computer system, displaying a first application launch user interface; and in accordance with a determination that the second notification mode is active at the computer system, displaying a second application launch user interface that is different from the first application launch user interface. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein: the first application launch user interface includes a first plurality of home screen pages; and the second application launch user interface includes a second plurality of home screen pages different from the first plurality of home screen pages. 10. The method of claim 8 , wherein: the first application launch user interface has a third background image; and the second application launch user interface has a fourth background image that is different from the third background image. 11. The method of claim 1 , wherein: the first wake screen user interface includes a first plurality of icons; and the second wake screen user interface includes a second plurality of icons that is different from the first plurality of icons. 12. The method of claim 1 , including: detecting a first set of user inputs; and in response to detecting the first set of user inputs, displaying a user interface for editing a respective wake screen of the computer system, wherein the user interface for editing the respective wake screen includes concurrently displaying: one or more controls for editing content and/or a layout of the respective wake screen of the computer system; and one or more controls for editing a restricted notification mode that is associated with the respective wake screen. 13. The method of claim 1 , including: detecting a second set of user inputs; and in response to detecting the second set of user inputs, displaying a user interface for editing a respective wake screen of the computer system, wherein the user interface for editing the respective wake screen includes concurrently displaying: one or more controls for editing content and/or layout of the respective wake screen of the computer system; and a plurality of options for selecting different notification modes for use with the respective wake screen. 14. The method of claim 1 , including: while displaying the second wake screen user interface, detecting a request to switch from the second wake screen user interface to the first wake screen user interface; and in response to detecting the request to switch from the second wake screen user interface to the first wake screen user interface: displaying the first wake screen user interface with the first background image; and transitioning from the second notification mode for the computer system to the first notification mode for the computer system.
