Stent delivery systems and methods for making and using stent delivery systems are disclosed. An example stent delivery system may include an inner shaft. A deployment sheath may be disposed about the inner shaft. A stent may be disposed between the inner shaft and the deployment sheath. A stent reconstraining member may be secured to an inner surface of the deployment sheath and releasably secured to the stent.

What is claimed is: 1. A stent delivery system, comprising: an inner shaft having a stent receiving region; a deployment sheath disposed about the inner shaft, the deployment sheath being configured to shift between a delivery configuration where the deployment sheath overlies the stent receiving region and a deployment configuration where the deployment sheath is shifted proximally relative to the stent receiving region; a reconstraining member having a first end secured to an inner surface of the deployment sheath and a free terminal end, wherein the free terminal end is positioned adjacent a distal end of the stent receiving region when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration; and wherein at least a portion of the reconstraining member is folded within the deployment sheath when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration. 2. The stent delivery system of claim 1 , wherein the free terminal end of the reconstraining member extends distally beyond a distal end of the deployment sheath when the deployment sheath is in the deployment configuration. 3. The stent delivery system of claim 1 , further comprising a stent disposed along the stent receiving region. 4. The stent delivery system of claim 3 , wherein the stent is a laser cut metallic stent. 5. The stent delivery system of claim 3 , wherein the stent is a self-expanding stent. 6. The stent delivery system of claim 3 , wherein the stent includes a coating. 7. The stent delivery system of claim 1 , wherein the reconstraining member includes a biodegradable material. 8. The stent delivery system of claim 1 , further comprising an outer sheath disposed along an outer surface of the deployment sheath. 9. The stent delivery system of claim 8 , wherein the outer sheath has a distal end that is positioned proximally of a distal end of the deployment sheath. 10. A stent delivery system, comprising: an inner shaft having a stent receiving region; a stent disposed along the stent receiving region; a deployment sheath disposed about the inner shaft, the deployment sheath being configured to shift between a delivery configuration where the deployment sheath overlies the stent receiving region and a deployment configuration where the deployment sheath is shifted proximally relative to the stent receiving region; a reconstraining member having a first end secured to an inner surface of the deployment sheath and a free terminal end, wherein the free terminal end is positioned adjacent a distal end of the stent when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration; and wherein the reconstraining member only partially overlays the stent when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration. 11. The stent delivery system of claim 10 , wherein the free terminal end of the reconstraining member extends distally beyond a distal end of the deployment sheath when the deployment sheath is in the deployment configuration. 12. The stent delivery system of claim 10 , wherein the stent is a laser cut metallic stent. 13. The stent delivery system of claim 10 , wherein the stent is a self-expanding stent. 14. The stent delivery system of claim 10 , wherein the stent includes a coating. 15. The stent delivery system of claim 10 , wherein the reconstraining member includes a biodegradable material. 16. The stent delivery system of claim 10 , further comprising an outer sheath disposed along an outer surface of the deployment sheath. 17. The stent delivery system of claim 16 , wherein the outer sheath has a distal end that is positioned proximally of a distal end of the deployment sheath. 18. A stent delivery system, comprising: an inner shaft having a stent receiving region; a stent disposed along the stent receiving region; a deployment sheath disposed about the inner shaft, the deployment sheath being configured to shift between a delivery configuration where the deployment sheath overlies the stent receiving region and a deployment configuration where the deployment sheath is proximally shifted relative to the stent receiving region; a reconstraining member having a first end secured to an inner surface of the deployment sheath adjacent to a distal end of the deployment sheath and a second end free from attachment to the deployment sheath and the inner shaft, wherein the second end is positioned adjacent a distal end of the stent when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration; wherein the reconstraining member includes a fold within the deployment sheath when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration, and wherein the reconstraining member only partially overlays the stent when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration. 19. The stent delivery system of claim 18 , wherein the first end is disposed distally of the second end when the deployment sheath is in the delivery configuration. 20. The stent delivery system of claim 18 , wherein the second end is disposed distally of the first end when the deployment sheath is in the deployment configuration.
