Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A seat application management device for managing an application for offering an experience using a seat is provided. The seat application management device for managing a usage pattern of a seat provided with a sensor is configured to execute, in response to an operation of a user, an application execution process of providing an interface that allows the user to select at least one application from among a plurality of applications each of which utilizes data acquired from the sensor to offer an experience using the seat to a seated occupant, and executing the selected application, and a record presentation process of retrieving and presenting an execution result of an executed application.

The invention claimed is: 1. A seat application management device for managing a usage pattern of a seat provided with a sensor, the seat application management device is configured to execute, in response to an operation of a user: an application execution process of providing an interface that allows the user to select at least one application from among a plurality of applications each of which utilizes data acquired from the sensor to offer an experience using the seat to a seated occupant, and executing the selected application; and a record presentation process of retrieving and presenting an execution result of an executed application. 2. The seat application management device according to claim 1 , wherein the seat application management device is capable of communicating with a server, and wherein the record presentation process comprises retrieving, from the server, execution results of applications executed by the user and by another user. 3. The seat application management device according to claim 2 , wherein the record presentation process comprises presenting a record of the user and a record of the another user, arranged in a ranking list. 4. The seat application management device according to claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a plurality of pressure sensors. 5. The seat application management device according to claim 1 , wherein the execution result comprises a usage history of the plurality of applications, and wherein the record presentation process comprises presenting the usage history of the plurality of applications associated with a specific user. 6. The seat application management device according to claim 1 , wherein the application comprises a game using the seat, and wherein the execution result comprises a game score. 7. The seat application management device according to claim 1 , wherein the execution result comprises at least one of pieces of data selected from: an amount of calories burned, an application execution date, an application execution time, the number of times of execution of the application, an application execution place, and an application title. 8. A seat experiencing system comprising: a seat provided with a sensor; and a seat application management device for managing a usage pattern of the seat, wherein the seat application management device is configured to execute, in response to an operation of a user: an application execution process of providing an interface that allows the user to select at least one application from among a plurality of applications each of which utilizes data acquired from the sensor to offer an experience using the seat to a seated occupant, and executing the selected application; and a record presentation process of retrieving and presenting an execution result of an executed application. 9. The seat experiencing system according to claim 8 , wherein the seat comprises a seat body on which a person is to be seated, wherein the sensor comprises a plurality of sensors for detecting a person seated on the seat body, the plurality of sensors including a first sensor and a second sensor located in a position different from a position in which the first sensor is located, wherein the seat experiencing system further comprises a seating determination unit configured to make a determination, based on detection results of the sensors, as to whether or not a person has got seated on the seat body, in such a manner that: the seating determination unit determines that a person has got seated on the seat body, on condition that the person seated on the seat body has been detected by the first sensor and the person seated on the seat body has been detected by the second sensor, and the seating determination unit determines that a person has risen from the seat body, on condition that the person seated on the seat body has become undetected by the first sensor and the person seated on the seat body has become undetected by the second sensor. 10. The seat experiencing system according to claim 9 , wherein the first sensor and the second sensor are pressure sensors, and wherein the seating determination unit is configured: to determine that a person has got seated on the seat body, on condition that a measurement value from the first sensor has become equal to or greater than a first sitting threshold and a measurement value from the second sensor has become equal to or greater than a second sitting threshold, and to determine that a person has risen from the seat body, on condition that the measurement value from the first sensor has become equal to or smaller than a first rising threshold smaller than the first sitting threshold and the measurement value from the second sensor has become equal to or smaller than a second rising threshold smaller than the second sitting threshold. 11. The seat experiencing system according to claim 10 , wherein the seat body comprises a seat bottom on which a person is to be seated, and wherein the first sensor is located in a position corresponding to buttocks of a person to be seated on the seat bottom, and the second sensor is located in a position corresponding to thighs of a person to be seated on the seat bottom. 12. The seat experiencing system according to claim 11 , wherein the first sensor comprises at least one right first sensor and at least one left first sensor, and wherein the second sensor comprises at least one right second sensor and at least one left second sensor. 13. The seat experiencing system according to claim 9 , further comprising a time-measuring unit configured to measure time based on a result of the determination made by the seating determination unit, wherein the time-measuring unit starts measurement of time at a time when the seating determination unit has determined that a person has risen from the seat body, ends the measurement of time at a time when the seating determination unit has determined that a person has got seated on the seat body, and determines by calculation an elapsed time that has elapsed from the time of starting the measurement of time to the time of ending the measurement of time. 14. The seat experiencing system according to claim 9 , further comprising a time-measuring unit configured to measure time based on a result of the determination made by the seating determination unit, wherein the time-measuring unit starts measurement of time at a time when the seating determination unit has determined that a person has got seated on the seat body, and executes a predetermined operation for prompting the person seated on the seat body to rise from the seat body after a lapse of a predetermined time period from the time of starting the measurement of time, and stops the predetermined operation at a time when the seating determination unit has determined that the person has risen from the seat body. 15. The seat experiencing system according to claim 14 , wherein the predetermined operation comprises an operation of producing a predetermined sound, which includes playing music. 16. The seat experiencing system according to claim 9 , further comprising a time-measuring unit configured to measure time based on a result of the determination made by the seating determination unit, wherein the time-measuring unit starts measurement of time at a time when the seating determination unit has determined that a person has got seated on the seat body, ends the measurement of time at a time when the seating determination unit has determined that a person has risen from the seat body, and determines by calculation an elapsed time that ha
