The device of claim 1 , wherein the holding unit is mounted in the device by a pivot joint and configured to be pivotable. 3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the holding unit is slidably mounted in the device with a sliding mechanism. 4. The device of claim 1 , wherein the guide unit is configured so that a formfitting removable connection exists between the guide unit and a suspension member of the frame structure. 5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of medication slides are removably fastened to the holding unit, each medication slide aligned with one of the plurality of slide openings. 6. The device of claim 1 , wherein each medication slide is configured so that a formfitting connection exists between the medication slide and the holding unit. 7. The device of claim 1 , wherein a portion of each medication slide is received within one of the plurality of guide receptacle openings. 8. The device of claim 1 , further comprising a sensor unit configured to detect a presence of one or more of the medication slides. 9. The device of claim 1 , further comprising a sensor unit configured to detect a degree of soiling of one or more of the medication slides. 10. The device of claim 1 , further comprising a collecting device for receiving individual medications from the guide dispensing openings of the plurality of guide units. 11. The device of claim 10 , wherein the collecting device comprises a plurality of collecting units configured to be used as temporary medication stores. 12. The device of claim 1 , wherein each guide unit has an anti-stick coating on the inside. 13. The device of claim 1 , wherein each guide unit comprises a first half having the guide receptacle openings and a second half having a guide channel. 14. A device for dispensing medications, comprising: a holding unit having first and second opposing sides; a plurality of medication storage and dispensing stations removably fastened to the first side of the holding unit, each storage and dispensing station having a medication dispensing channel for dispensing individual medications; a plurality of medication slides fastened to the second side of the holding unit; a frame structure disposed on the second side of the holding unit; a plurality of guide units removably fastened to the frame structure and disposed on the second side of the holding unit, each guide unit comprising a plurality of guide receptacle openings and a guide dispensing opening; and a mounting mechanism configured to provide movement of the frame structure and the holding unit relative to one another. 15. The device of claim 14 , wherein the frame structure comprises a plurality of suspension members, wherein each of the plurality of guide units is suspended from one of the plurality of suspension members. 16. The device of claim 14 , wherein one of: the plurality of medication slides are removably fastened to the holding unit, each medication slide aligned with one of the plurality of slide openings; each medication slide is configured so that a formfitting connection exists between the medication slide and the holding unit; and a portion of each medication slide is received within one of the plurality of guide receptacle openings. 17. The device of claim 14 , further comprising one of: a sensor unit configured to detect a presence of one or more of the medication slides; and a sensor unit configured to detect a degree of soiling of one or more of the medication slides. 18. The device of claim 14 , further comprising a collecting device for receiving individual medications from the guide dispensing openings of the plurality of guide units. 19.
