A display controlling method for a broadcast receiving apparatus allowed to receive IP simultaneous broadcasting of a 4K broadcasting service via a communication transmission line, in which simultaneous broadcasting of the 4K broadcasting service and a 2K broadcasting service is executed by a broadcasting wave, is configured to: receive and demodulate the 4K broadcasting service, and display a broadcasting program of the 4K broadcasting service; and select and execute one display switching process of first and second display switching processes in accordance with priority order in a case where a defect occurs in reception, demodulation, or display of the 4K broadcasting service, the 2K broadcasting service being received and demodulated to display a broadcasting program of the 2K broadcasting service in the first display switching process, the IP simultaneous broadcasting being received and demodulated to display a program of the IP simultaneous broadcasting in the second display switching process.

The invention claimed is: 1. A broadcast receiving apparatus comprising: a receiver configured to receive a 4K broadcasting service and a 2K broadcasting service and demodulate the 4K broadcasting service and the 2K broadcasting service; a display; a remote control receiver configured to receive a signal from a remote controller; and a controller, wherein the receiver is configured to receive the 4K broadcasting service transmitted by a first transmission method and demodulate the 4K broadcasting service, and the controller is configured to control the display to display a broadcasting program of the 4K broadcasting service, wherein the receiver is configured to receive the 2K broadcasting service transmitted by a second transmission method and demodulate the 2K broadcasting service, and the controller is configured to control the display to display a broadcasting program of the 2K broadcasting service, wherein the controller is configured to control clock synchronization processing for the 4K broadcasting service and clock synchronization processing for the 2K broadcasting service, and wherein the controller is configured to control: the clock synchronization processing for the 2K broadcasting service to continue even when the broadcasting program of the 4K broadcasting service is displayed on the display; and the clock synchronization processing for the 4K broadcasting service to continue even when a broadcasting program of the 2K broadcasting service is displayed on the display. 2. The broadcast receiving apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the first transmission method is an MMT method. 3. The broadcast receiving apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the second transmission method is an MPEG2-TS. 4. A broadcast receiving apparatus comprising: a receiver configured to receive a 4K broadcasting service and a 2K broadcasting service and demodulate the 4K broadcasting service and the 2K broadcasting service; a display; a remote control receiver configured to receive a signal from a remote controller; a controller, a non-volatile memory configured to store operating software; and a random access memory configured to be used for the operating software, wherein the receiver is configured to receive the 4K broadcasting service transmitted by a first transmission method and demodulate the 4K broadcasting service, and the controller is configured to control the display to display a broadcasting program of the 4K broadcasting service, wherein the receiver is configured to receive the 2K broadcasting service transmitted by a second transmission method and demodulate the 2K broadcasting service, and the controller is configured to control the display to display a broadcasting program of the 2K broadcasting service, wherein the controller is configured to control clock synchronization processing for the 4K broadcasting service and clock synchronization processing for the 2K broadcasting service, and wherein the controller is configured to control: the clock synchronization processing for the 2K broadcasting service to continue even when the broadcasting program of the 4K broadcasting service is displayed on the display; and the clock synchronization processing for the 4K broadcasting service to continue even when a broadcasting program of the 2K broadcasting service is displayed on the display. 5. The broadcast receiving apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the first transmission method is an MMT method. 6. The broadcast receiving apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the second transmission method is an MPEG2-TS.
