Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A system, method and non-transitory computer-readable medium including instructions executable by one or more processors to display, a listing of one or more Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) units; receive, by an orchestrator tool, a first user selection of a first set of O-RAN units; receive a first user entry of a version identifier of a first upgrade; receive a second user entry of a path associated with the first upgrade; receive a first request to deploy the first upgrade to the first set of O-RAN units; and in response to receiving the first request, prepare a first standardized configuration payload. The first standardized configuration payload includes the version identifier of the first upgrade; and the path associated with the first upgrade. The instructions cause transmission of the first standardized configuration payload in a first configuration file to a configuration management module or service.

What is claimed is: 1. A system for concerted upgrade deployment comprising: a memory storing computer-readable instructions; and one or more processors connected to the memory, wherein the one or more processors are configured to execute the computer-readable instructions for: receiving information indicating one or more open radio access network (O-RAN) units to be updated, wherein the information is generated in response to selection of one or more units from a light comprising units that are operable in an O-RAN; receiving a version identifier of a first upgrade; receiving a path associated with the first upgrade; receiving a first request to deploy the first upgrade to the one or more O-RAN units; in response to receiving the first request, preparing a first standardized configuration payload, wherein the first standardized configuration payload comprises: the version identifier of the first upgrade; and the path associated with the first upgrade; instructing a transmitter to transmit the first standardized configuration payload in a first configuration file to a configuration management module or service; receiving an indication of a fault during upgrading of the one or more O-RAN units; and performing a fault management process on the one or more O-RAN units in response to receiving the indication of the fault. 2. The system for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 1 , wherein receiving the information indicating the one or more O-RAN units comprises receiving selection information from a selectable list of the one or more O-RAN units, and the selectable list comprises: a serial number for the one or more O-RAN units; and a version number for the one or more O-RAN units. 3. The system for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors is configured to execute the instructions for preparing the first standardized configuration payload by: fetching one or more sets of login credentials corresponding to each of the first set of O-RAN units; and fetching one or more server Internet Protocol (IP) addresses corresponding to each of the first set of O-RAN units. 4. The system for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors is further configured to execute the instructions for: receiving an upgrade report following the instructing the transmitter to transmit the first standardized configuration payload; and performing the fault management process based on the upgrade report. 5. The system for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 4 , wherein the one or more processors is configured to execute instructions for: generating a notification in response to the fault management process indicating at least one error; and instructing a display to display the notification. 6. The system for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 5 , wherein the notification comprises at least one of: a software download error; a software installation error; or a software activation error. 7. The system for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 2 , wherein the one or more processors is configured to execute the instructions for: instructing a display to display the selectable list of O-RAN units; and wherein the receiving the first user selection is based on a received input following the display of the selectable list of O-RAN units. 8. A method executed by one or more processors for concerted upgrade deployment comprising: receiving information indicating one or more open radio access network (O-RAN) units to be updated, wherein the information is generated in response to selection of one or more units from a light comprising units that are operable in an O-RAN; receiving a version identifier of a first upgrade; receiving a path associated with the first upgrade; receiving a first request to deploy the first upgrade to the one or more O-RAN units; in response to receiving the first request, preparing a first standardized configuration payload, wherein the first standardized configuration payload comprises: the version identifier of the first upgrade; and the path associated with the first upgrade; transmitting the first standardized configuration payload in a first configuration file to a configuration management module or service; receiving an indication of a fault during upgrading of at least one of the one or more O-RAN units; and performing a fault management process on the one or more O-RAN units in response to receiving the indication of the fault. 9. The method for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 8 , wherein receiving the information indicating the one or more O-RAN units comprises receiving selection information from a selectable list of one or more O-RAN units, and the selectable list comprises: a serial number for the one or more O-RAN units; and a version number for the one or more O-RAN units. 10. The method for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 8 , wherein the preparing the first standardized configuration payload comprises: fetching one or more sets of login credentials corresponding to each of the first set of O-RAN units; and fetching one or more server Internet Protocol (IP) addresses corresponding to each of the first set of O-RAN units. 11. The method for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 8 , further comprising: receiving an upgrade report following the instructing the transmitter to transmit the first standardized configuration payload; and performing the fault management process based on the upgrade report. 12. The method for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 11 , further comprising: generating a notification in response to the fault management process indicating at least one error; and displaying the notification. 13. The method for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 12 , wherein the notification comprises at least one of: a software download error; a software installation error; or a software activation error. 14. The method for concerted upgrade deployment of claim 9 , further comprising: displaying the selectable list of O-RAN units; and wherein the receiving the first user selection is based on a received input following the display of the selectable list of O-RAN units. 15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium including instructions executable by one or more processors to cause the one or more processors to perform operations for concerted upgrade deployment, the operations comprising: receiving information indicating one or more open radio access network (O-RAN) units to be updated, wherein the information is generated in response to selection of one or more units from a light comprising units that are operable in an O-RAN; receiving a version identifier of a first upgrade; receiving a path associated with the first upgrade; receiving a first request to deploy the first upgrade to the one or more O-RAN units; in response to receiving the first request, preparing a first standardized configuration payload, wherein the first standardized configuration payload comprises: the version identifier of the first upgrade; and the path associated with the first upgrade; instructing a transmitter to transmit the first standardized configuration payload in a first configuration file to a configuration management module or service; receiving an indication of a fault during upgrading of the one or more O-RAN units; and performing a fault management process on the one or more O-RAN units in response to receiving the indication of the fault. 16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein receivi
