A sensing control system includes a sensing controller comprising a memory storing a plurality of semantic identities and a processor in communication with the memory, at least one transceiver and at least one sensor. The sensing controller is configured to receive via the wireless transceiver and store in memory at least one semantic profile from a mobile device localized at an endpoint, the semantic profile comprising a set of configured gestures and semantic identities. Based on the semantic profile and inputs from the at least one sensor the sensing controller infers a plurality of semantics associated with gestures by a first person and/or second person and applies them based on a designated manipulation priority.

I claim: 1. A sensing control system, comprising: at least one sensor; at least one wireless transceiver; a sensing controller comprising a processor and a sensing controller memory, the sensing controller memory storing a plurality of semantic identities; the sensing controller memory further storing at least a plurality of configured gestures associated with a first target semantic identity; the sensing controller memory further containing stored programming instructions causing the sensing controller to: infer a first person semantic identity for a first person based on an input from the at least one sensor; infer a first person gesture by the first person from among the plurality of configured gestures, the first person gesture being inferred based on inputs from the at least one sensor; infer a second person gesture by a second person, the second person gesture being inferred based on inputs from the at least one sensor; determine that the first person has manipulation priority over the second person on controlling a second semantic identity among the plurality of stored semantic identities; and control access to an electronically controllable device by: determining that the first person gesture is applicable to the second semantic identity based on a semantic matching between the first target semantic identity and the second semantic identity; allowing access to manipulating the electronically controllable device based on the inferred first person gesture; and disallowing access to manipulating the electronically controllable device based on the second person gesture, wherein the determination that the first person has manipulation priority over the second person with respect to controlling the second semantic identity is based on a designation gesture by the second person towards the first person, wherein the designation gesture is inferred based on an input from the at least one sensor. 2. The sensing control system of claim 1 , wherein the electronically controllable device comprises a user interface on a display surface, and further wherein manipulating the electronically controllable device comprises manipulating a displayed user interface object on the display surface. 3.
