Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A sensor data acquisition unit 214 acquires sensor data indicating an acceleration of a device including a vibrator. A second estimation processing unit 250 estimates a speed of the device on the basis of the sensor data. A vibration determination unit 262 determines whether or not the vibrator is vibrating on the basis of the sensor data. A stationary determination unit 264 determines whether or not the device is stationary on the basis of the sensor data. A second estimation processing unit 250 reduces the estimated speed of the device in a case where it is determined that the vibrator is vibrating and the device is stationary.

The invention claimed is: 1. An information processing apparatus that estimates a speed of a device including a vibrator, the apparatus comprising: a sensor data acquisition unit that acquires sensor data indicating an acceleration of the device; an estimation processing unit that estimates the speed of the device on a basis of the sensor data; a vibration determination unit that determines whether or not the vibrator is vibrating on the basis of the sensor data; and a stationary determination unit that determines whether or not the device is stationary on the basis of the sensor data, wherein, in a case where it is determined that the vibrator is vibrating and the device is stationary, the estimation processing unit reduces the estimated speed of the device. 2. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the vibration determination unit determines whether or not the vibrator is vibrating on a basis of a variance calculated from time series data of the acceleration. 3. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the stationary determination unit determines whether or not the device is stationary on a basis of an inclination of the acceleration calculated from the time series data of the acceleration. 4. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, in a case where it is determined that the vibrator is vibrating and the device is stationary, the estimation processing unit multiplies the estimated speed of the device by a predetermined attenuation coefficient c (0<c<1). 5. The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the estimation processing unit estimates the speed of the device at a cycle at which the sensor data acquisition unit acquires the sensor data. 6. An information processing apparatus that estimates a position of a device including a vibrator, the apparatus comprising: a photographed image acquisition unit that acquires an image obtained by photographing the device; a first estimation processing unit that estimates the position of the device on a basis of the image obtained by photographing the device; a sensor data acquisition unit that acquires sensor data indicating an acceleration of the device; a second estimation processing unit that estimates a speed and the position of the device on a basis of the sensor data; a third estimation processing unit that derives the position of the device on a basis of the position of the device estimated by the first estimation processing unit and the position of the device estimated by the second estimation processing unit; a vibration determination unit that determines whether or not the vibrator is vibrating on the basis of the sensor data; and a stationary determination unit that determines whether or not the device is stationary on the basis of the sensor data, wherein, in a case where it is determined that the vibrator is vibrating and the device is stationary, the second estimation processing unit reduces the estimated speed of the device. 7. The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the second estimation processing unit does not reduce the estimated speed of the device when the device is included in the photographed image, and reduces the estimated speed of the device when the device is not included in the photographed image. 8. A device speed estimation method that is a method for estimating a speed of a device including a vibrator, the method comprising: acquiring sensor data indicating an acceleration of the device; estimating the speed of the device on a basis of the sensor data; determining whether or not the vibrator is vibrating on the basis of the sensor data; determining whether or not the device is stationary on the basis of the sensor data; and reducing the estimated speed of the device in a case where it is determined that the vibrator is vibrating and the device is stationary. 9. A device position estimation method that is a method for estimating a position of a device including a vibrator, the method comprising: acquiring an image photographed by an imaging apparatus; first estimating the position of the device on a basis of an image obtained by photographing the device by the imaging apparatus; acquiring sensor data indicating an acceleration of the device; second estimating a speed and the position of the device on a basis of the sensor data; third estimating the position of the device on a basis of the position of the device estimated in the first estimating and the position of the device estimated in the second estimating; determining whether or not the vibrator is vibrating on the basis of the sensor data; determining whether or not the device is stationary on the basis of the sensor data; and reducing the speed of the device estimated in the second estimating in a case where it is determined that the vibrator is vibrating and the device is stationary.
