A golf ball with improved durability is disclosed herein. The golf ball has a core comprising a polybutadiene material and methyl methacrylate, butadiene, styrene (MBS) with a weight percentage of MBS ranging from 0.5 to 5 weight percent of the core.

We claim: 1. A golf ball comprising: a core comprising a polybutadiene material and a methyl methacrylate, butadiene, styrene (MBS); an inner mantle layer disposed over the core, the inner mantle layer having a thickness ranging from 0.030 inch to 0.090 inch, the inner mantle layer comprising a blend of ionomers and MBS with a weight percentage of MBS ranging from 5 to 15 weight percent of the mantle layer, the mantle layer material having a plaque Shore D hardness ranging from 30 to 50; an outer mantle disposed over the inner mantle layer; and a cover layer disposed over the outer mantle layer, the cover layer composed of a polyurethane material; wherein the golf ball has a compression under a load of 200 pounds ranging from 60 to 80; wherein the golf ball has a COR of at least 0.785.
