Official abstract text for this publication.
The present disclosure discloses a method for detecting indication information, including: determining a carrier/narrowband position and a time-domain position where indication information is located; in which the indication information is configured to indicate whether a user equipment (UE) monitors a paging message or a downlink control channel that indicates the paging message, on associated one or more paging occasions (POs); and detecting the indication information on the determined carrier/narrowband position and the time-domain position, and determining, according to the indication information, whether to monitor the paging message or the downlink control channel on the one or more POs.

What is claimed is: 1. A method of performing communication, by a user equipment (UE), in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving system information including configuration information of indication information; obtaining time gap information from the configuration information of the indication information, wherein the time gap information indicates a time gap between the indication information and a paging occasion; identifying a time domain position based on the time gap; monitoring the indication information based on the identified time domain position; and based on the indication information being detected as a result of the monitoring, monitoring the paging occasion, wherein the configuration information of the indication information includes information regarding a maximum duration of the indication information. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the maximum duration of the indication information is identified based on R_max. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein R_max is a maximum repetition number for a narrowband physical downlink control channel (NPDCCH) search space for a paging. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication information is transmitted through a valid subframe and the valid subframe includes a subframe configured as a NB-IoT DL subframe based on a higher layer parameter or system information block 1 (SIB 1) or a subframe not used for transmitting at least one of a narrow band primary synchronization signal (NPSS), a narrowband secondary synchronization signal (NSSS), or narrow band-physical broadcast channel (NPBCH). 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the monitoring of the indication information comprises: monitoring the indication information based on the maximum duration of the indication information. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein a resource element where a cell specific reference signal (CRS) or a narrowband reference signal (NRS) is transmitted, is excluded for a transmission of the indication information. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the time gap, indicated by the indication information, is from an end of the maximum duration of the indication information to the paging occasion. 8. A user equipment (UE), in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising: a transceiver; and a processor coupled with the transceiver and configured to: receive system information including configuration information of indication information; obtain time gap information from the configuration information of the indication information, wherein the time gap information indicates a time gap between the indication information and a paging occasion; identify a time domain position based on the time gap; monitor the indication information based on the identified time domain position; and based on the indication information being detected as a result of the monitoring, monitor the paging occasion, wherein the configuration information of the indication information includes information regarding a maximum duration of the indication information. 9. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the maximum duration of the indication information is identified based on R_max. 10. The UE of claim 9 , wherein R_max is a maximum repetition number for a narrowband physical downlink control channel (NPDCCH) search space for a paging. 11. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the indication information is transmitted through a valid subframe and the valid subframe includes a subframe configured as a NB-IoT DL subframe based on a higher layer parameter or system information block 1 (SIB 1) or a subframe not used for transmitting at least one of a narrow band primary synchronization signal (NPSS), a narrowband secondary synchronization signal (NSSS), or narrow band-physical broadcast channel (NPBCH). 12. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the processor is configured to monitor the indication information based on the maximum duration of the indication information. 13. The UE of claim 8 , wherein a resource element where a cell specific reference signal (CRS) or a narrowband reference signal (NRS) is transmitted, is excluded for a transmission of the indication information. 14. The UE of claim 8 , wherein the time gap, indicated by the indication information, is from an end of the maximum duration of the indication information to the paging occasion.
