Official abstract text for this publication.
An information presenting system includes: a specification unit that specifies a position of a biological part used for authentication from information about a target person; a setting unit that sets an imaging area in which the biological part is imaged, in accordance with the specified position of the biological part; and a presentation unit that presents information indicating the imaging area at a position that allows an overlap of the biological part. According to this information presenting system, information about biometric authentication can be appropriately presented to the target person, so that an authentication process can be performed normally.

What is claimed is: 1. An information presenting system comprising: at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor that is configured to execute the instructions to: specify a position of a biological part used for authentication from information about a moving target person; set an imaging area in which the biological part is imaged, in accordance with the specified position of the biological part; present information indicating the imaging area at a position on a medium through which the target person can pass that allows an overlap of the biological part; and control an imaging unit so that an image of the biological part is captured when the biological part passes through the imaging area. 2. The information presenting system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor presents the information indicating the imaging area at a position through which the target person can pass. 3. The information presenting system according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one processor presents the information indicating the imaging area by projection on a fog display. 4. The information presenting system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor presents the information indicating the imaging area in the vicinity of a focus position of the imaging unit that captures the imaging area. 5. The information presenting system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor specifies the position of the biological part by using an image of the target person. 6. The information presenting system according to claim 5 , wherein the at least one processor detects a face area including a face of the target person from the image of the target person and specifies the position of the biological part. 7. The information presenting system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor specifies the position of eyes used for iris authentication, as the position of the biological part. 8. The information presenting system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor adjusts a width of a fog display to match a width of the imaging area to present the information indicating the imaging area. 9. The information presenting system according to claim 8 , wherein the at least one processor displays on the fog display that the width of the fog display corresponds to the width of the imaging area. 10. The information presenting system according to claim 8 , wherein the at least one processor presents by audio that the width of the fog display corresponds to the width of the imaging area. 11. An information presenting method performed by a computer and comprising: specifying a position of a biological part used for authentication from information about a moving target person; setting an imaging area in which the biological part is imaged, in accordance with the specified position of the biological part; presenting information indicating the imaging area at a position on a medium through which the target person can pass that allows an overlap of the biological part; and controlling an imaging unit so that an image of the biological part is captured when the biological part passes through the imaging area. 12. A non-transitory recording medium storing a computer program executable by a computer to perform an information presenting method comprising: specifying a position of a biological part used for authentication from information about a moving target person; setting an imaging area in which the biological part is imaged, in accordance with the specified position of the biological part; presenting information indicating the imaging area at a position on a medium through which the target person can pass that allows an overlap of the biological part; and controlling an imaging unit so that an image of the biological part is captured when the biological part passes through the imaging area.
