A resin composition is based on a resin chosen from the group consisting of unsaturated polyester resins and vinyl ester resins, a crosslinking initiator and a crosslinking agent of general formula R1—X—R2, in which X is an optionally substituted alkylene group and R1 and R2 are, independently of one another, an acrylate, methacrylate or vinyl group, an alkenyl group bearing an unsaturated carbon at the chain end, or an alkynyl group bearing an unsaturated carbon at the chain end.

The invention claimed is: 1. A tire comprising a resin composition based on: a resin selected from the group consisting of vinyl ester resins; a crosslinking initiator; and a crosslinking agent of general formula (I) R 1 —X—R 2 (I) in which: X is an optionally substituted alkylene group, and R 1 and R 2 are, independently of one another, an acrylate group, methacrylate group, vinyl group, alkenyl group bearing an unsaturated carbon at the chain end, or alkynyl group bearing an unsaturated carbon at the chain end. 2. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the resin is an epoxy vinyl ester resin based on novolac, bisphenol, or novolac and bisphenol. 3. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the X group is substituted by at least one group selected from hydroxyl, ether, alkyl and dialkylamine groups. 4. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the X group is not substituted. 5. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein a main chain of the X group comprises from 1 to 4 carbon atoms. 6. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein R 1 and R 2 are independently selected from the group consisting of acrylate, methacrylate, vinyl, allyl and ethynyl groups. 7. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the crosslinking initiator is a radical initiator selected from the group consisting of halogenated compounds, compounds comprising an azo group, and peroxide compounds. 8. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the crosslinking initiator is selected from the group consisting of azobisisobutyronitrile and peroxides. 9. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the crosslinking initiator is a photoinitiator sensitive to UV above 300 nm. 10. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the resin composition comprises from 0.5% to 3% by weight of crosslinking initiator. 11. The tire according to claim 1 , wherein the resin composition comprises from 2% to 15% by weight of crosslinking agent of general formula (I).
