Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An electrolyte solution containing lithium ethyl sulfate and ethyl sulfate. The lithium ethyl sulfate is present in an amount of 0.1 to 2.0% by mass relative to the electrolyte solution. The lithium ethyl sulfate and the ethyl sulfate give a mass ratio of the lithium ethyl sulfate to the ethyl sulfate of 80 to 1500. Also disclosed is an electrochemical device and lithium ion secondary battery containing the electrolyte solution, a module including the electrochemical device and a method for producing lithium ethyl sulfate.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. An electrolyte solution comprising lithium ethyl sulfate having a formula of CH 3 CH 2 —O—S(═O) 2 —OLi and ethyl sulfate having a formula of CH 3 CH 2 —O—S(═O) 2 —OH, the lithium ethyl sulfate being present in an amount of 0.1 to 2.0% by mass relative to the electrolyte solution, the lithium ethyl sulfate and the ethyl sulfate giving a mass ratio of the lithium ethyl sulfate to the ethyl sulfate of 80 to 1500. 2. The electrolyte solution according to claim 1 , further comprising ethanol in an amount of 1.0×10 −3 to 1000 ppm relative to the electrolyte solution. 3. The electrolyte solution according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one lithium salt selected from the group consisting of LiPF 6 , LiN(FSO 2 ) 2 , and LiBF 4 . 4. An electrochemical device comprising the electrolyte solution according to claim 1 . 5. A lithium ion secondary battery comprising the electrolyte solution according to claim 1 . 6. A module comprising the electrochemical device according to claim 4 . 7. A module comprising the lithium ion secondary battery according to claim 5 .
